Life of a Xaverian

The college encourages students to take part in events and social events by a special credit system associated with these events. Every student has to meet this credit system's requirements, to get their final degree and security deposit. The college does not give any fresher party or farewell to it students.

The course curriculum is systematically designed and is regualrly updated for recent trends and changes. Xaviers is a renowned institution and provides quality education to students. The final year specialization curriculum is also perfectly designed and helps students with their professional courses and during MBA Program.

The college does not provide any internship, but interested candidates may get some options through the college's placement cell and may apply for the same. Though the college has made it mandatory for all final year students to do and internship for a period of 6 weeks.

A huge number of reputed companies visit the campus every year and conduct tests and interviews. All interested students can apply for the companies they wish to get jobs i, through the placement cell. There is huge competition during placements as all B.Com, Eco Hons, and BBA graduates appear for them, and the companies are not usually looking for mass recruitment.

The college is always lively and happening with fests, events, competitions. College has a lot of active clubs and societies.Renowned speakers come from a variety of dynamics and talk about their journeys. Famous personalities and bands come and perform. Various managements fests, social events, sports events and competitions take place

The fees structure is moderate. In comparison to the other colleges and universities providing the same courses, the fees is comparatively lower or at par. The BBA students are taught in air conditioned classrooms which differentiates their fees from B.Com students.

The college provides has various quotas. Christian students have special fees structure. The college provides financial aid to students from backward classes or from underprivileged sections. Scholarship is provided to meritorious students from reserved category or reserved areas of the country.

The Library is great, with amazing infrastructure, comfortable reading rooms, great collection of books and journals, online booking, reissue and other facilities. The computer lab is well equipped and has the updated software and hardware.

The college's hostel is strict about timings.It does not provide the best infrastructural facilities or good quality food. This does not pose as a big poblem as the area provides a lot of other PGs and hostels.

The senior students are the first ones to approach the new students. The college is has various lobbies contesting for the general secretary's elections. The senior students are quite helpful and friendly.

It is an autonomous university, which sets its own papers. They conduct internals exams and semester exams in every semester. The papers are standard, application based and test the understanding of students.

For admission into the college one should have had mathematics as their subject in class 12. For admissions in the BBA/BMS Department, one has to appear for an entrance exam of 50 marks. The test is MCQ based, it involves quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning. The score on the entrance exam is then added to half of the candidate's class 12 percentage. Xaviers considers class 12 percentage as best of four, English and mathematics are compulsory to be included in this percentage computation. They then shortlist candidates with an aggregate score of approximately 65, they have different cut offs for students of different boards, CBSE tends have a higher cut off. They usually publish two merit lists. Interested students can pay their admission fees and get enrolled.

The faculty of the college is average. Only a few of the teachers actually have good teaching skills and the required knowledge. But the teachers are cooperative and are available after college hours.
