Think before you choose

Overall the college was a average experience for me, neither good nor bad. Teachers are good and very friendly, but the students of nshm have a lot of attitude in them. I don't understand where this comes from but yes.

If you are opting for fashion designing, please search for a good college. Fashion designing course in nshm introduced recently, it been just few years so the infrastructure about this particular course is not that good enough, tho it's getting better with time but don't take chance for now. Try for colleges which provides 100% placement guarantee.

Yes they provide internship, but not to everyone. The ones whose attendance percentage are good enough to fulfill the criteria of internship only those people get the internship and others need to find internship by their own.

I was a student of nshm kolkata, but still they did not provide me any job, tho I had decent attendance percentage.They were out of resources. They lack of contacts when it comes to placement. Till internship it was okay but the placement and job opportunities aren't that good.

Nshm participated in almost every fest. Kolkata people knows nshm very well. Every other college knows about nshm cause this college participate in other college fest and in other college activities too.

No it not that expensive but not less also. They do not provide any material from college.you have to buy every other stuffs you need for college. The college does not provide other than study material which will just be some sort of ppt.

No, nothing as such. I don't know anything about it. But it gives few opportunities to the students who are really best. And loan facilities are available too. If you don't want to give the whole money at once you can skip that and can pay to fees semester wise too.

A lot of extra curricular activities are done by nshm. Faculty encourages students to participate and also there are a lot of even take place inside the campus and outside the campus. Media students takes part in a lot of ways. And also even the not fashion designing students takes part in fashion shows and wins from other colleges.

I don't know about hostel because I wasn't a part of the hostel. I used to stay in pg. But few of my friends we're in hostel when we were in college and they said the hostel entry timing was very early. Not I don't know about it because it already been a year.

Not everyone was helpful and good. As I said students of nshm have so much attitude in them. The same way the seniors were not that helpful and friendly.But about the faculty, they are really nice and helpful.

Exams are good enough. Questions are relatable what you get taught in your classes. And teachers are enough helpful to make you understand every part even in the off time and also help you to get good marks for the exams. Give notes and mark the important questions before exam so that you don't get confused in exam Hall.

I filled the form and then after that gave a small test or exam which had few particular sections which were maths, general knowledge, creative analysis, general ability test and drawing skills. The exam was really easy not as hard as nift but the questions were interesting.

Overall faculty members are really nice and polite and also very friendly. They hear the students and their problems and also takes necessary steps about it. The atmosphere with the faculty members are really good and they aren't harsh with the good ones ( students).
