The Institute has a very rich culture and trends, the social life is very healthy and active. Academic is demanding and rightfully so, training Individuals for a chance to thrive in the professional world. Students have plenty to do as in clubs and festivals and other activities throughout the year. Only negative is Jaipur extreme weather conditions.

The Courses thought per semester are well thought off and are updated every academic year as and when required. The Curriculum is designed as such to Introduce the students to programming and core branch knowledge at an very early phase (in the first semester itself). The Curriculum itself is Inspired by IIT Karagpur and thus is rigorous and demanding, but in-return elevates the Thinking process and problem solving skills of the students. A lot of great electives are provided to choose from according to ones Interest and desire. There is a very good blend of Humanities(1 minimum per semester) and Technical subjects to choose from.

College Provides an paid(travelling cost needs to be paid) Internship at Arcelormittal, Kazakhstan for 3rd year students which itself is a very quality learning curve. Also, The college has its own internship program LUSIP, offered during summer term. Apart from this there is a Semester Long Internship ( SLI) concept allowing the students to fast track for Industry experience in their 8th semester. Internship Stipend varies from:-15k - 40k.

Many major recruiters visit for campus placement. There is a Training and Placement Cell Independent of College Administration which looks after placements and other related issues. CSE and CCE enjoy ample and quality placement drives. ECE students get quality but limited opportunities. Mechanical branch has a bad placement reputation because of low and good quality demands. Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Go-JEK, Myntra, Innovacer, OYO, Lucideus Tech are some top recruiters. Avg Placements this year was around 9-10 Lakhs. (Highest Package of 44 Lakhs)

Cultural Fest - Vivacity - Largest fest after Oasis(BITS, Pilani) in Rajasthan. Sports Fest - Desportivos - sees a rough footstep of around 800-900 students from other colleges. Technical Fest - Plinth - Has a good blend of workshops on latest technologies and various technical challenges and sports. Freshers - Rubaroo - For the Incoming Batch. Fashion, Dramatics & Dance Inter House Event - Gusto Farewell - Nostalgia - for the graduating batch. Graduation Ceremony and Degree distribution - Convocation - for the recently graduated batch.

The fee is around INR 1.5 Lakhs per semester Inclusive of Food and Accommodation. Additional fee for Repeating/Improving courses only during summer term (not during regular semesters) is around 10k per subject and 15k for Accommodation and food.Travelling via Institute provided Buses (one of the few means of transportation for going to city) has extra personal expense.The Fee according to me is moderate given the facilities and other amenities.

College provides scholarships to around 15 students in every category, namely: 1st year students with Top ranks in entrance exams. Other year students (toppers) get scholarship every semester of around 15k-20k.loan Facilities is available for students who need it for their education, and can be availed during fee payment. Students going to foreign soil for academic purposes are also provided with financial aid.

There are three boys hostels and one girls hostel, two more were under construction last time I saw the campus, and hopefully will be ready fro the 2019 batch. Hostels are frankly speaking way better than many other premier institutes. They have neat and maintained, rooms have good ventilation facilities. Rooms have Air ducts installed in them for summers. No AC rooms available (not required due to the air vents). There are both double (for 1, 2 and 3rd year) and single (for 4th year) rooms in all the hostels. The Hostels washrooms have Jet installed Toilets and Geezer for winters. Sweepers clean the hostels and washrooms daily. Hostels have TT table, badminton court and TV rooms provided within. girls hostel also has Beauty saloon and gym inside the hostels only.

Alumni network is strong. There is even a alumni chapter very active in the college. The Alumni have frequent meet ups in their cities. They even offer opportunities in their respective domain for the college students. Seniors - Junior Relationship is very healthy and strong, but it has been degrading for the past 2 years. Yes being a college of only 1.5k strength the social relationship is very prevalent and healthy, every one tries to help their batch-mates and juniors alike.

There are two exams conducted in a semester, namely Mid Terms and End Terms (as the name suggests). Apart from the two there are no major exams except of many quizzes (announced and not announced) as well as projects, assignments and presentations according to the course structure.

The entrance criteria is purely on the result of the JEE Mains Examination (although clearing the JEE Mains cut-off is the minimum requirement) and supports pure merit based admissions. No management quota exists. The Institute website releases the admission form every year for B.tech, M.Tech and PhD students. Merit List based results are announced in total of three rounds.

Faculty quality varies like in every other engineering college. Every Department has a set of excellent, good and okay faculties. Although the grading system is decided by the committee for every course and varies with every batch, thus maintaining an equilibrium. Overall the Faculties are well educated and have enough knowledge to help you with every query and doubts. They are available easily in their personal cabins.
