Overall Birla Institute of Science and Technology Pilani is one of the best college in India and it give fare compition to IITs. Placements are good. Only negative point about it is its fees structure.

Curriculum is well spaced. It has semester base system. You have 1mid semester examination which is usually closed book and of 90mins. Then you have one comprehensive examination which is partly open and close and of 3hrs. Other then this you have small quizzes and assignment and presentations.

Bits have program named practice school(PS) under which students can go on internship. They have two PS. PS1 is after 2nd year during summer vacation for 2months in which you usually won't get any stipend. PS 2 is in 4 year which consist of 1whole semester and you can choose in which semester you want to go and usually stipend is more than 20k for mechanical guys.

Placements are good. Major Core companies come for placements. Placements are done in fare way. Packages are also good. Average package in core companies are 7lac CTC. Major core companies which come are Bajaj, Maruti, Nestle, Hero, IOCL, ExxonMobil etc.

1. We have sports festival name BOSM in which various colleges team participate and play fare games. 2. Our Culture Festival OASIS is 2nd best in India. It goes on for 4 days continuously. There is always some event going on. 3. We have best Technical festival APOGEE in which student make project in various category and gets evaluate by professors.

Current tution fees is 1,46,000 which increases yearly by 10-15? which is a bit expensive. Hostle fees is around 10000 and mess fees is around 17000 and other fees are around 5000. Then the rest is your own expenses.

There are two types of scholarships offered at BITS Pilani: Merit scholarship : Based on your CGPA in the current semester. Around 10(per batch) people get 100% off and another 10(per batch) get 40% off on tuition fee. This semester’s cut-off was 9.2 Merit cum Need scholarship : Again based on your CGPA but also has the condition that your parents' annual income should be less than 8 LPA. Any CGPA above 7 gets you a scholarship, but the more your CGPA, more the scholarship.

For extracurricular we have various Department and club. Departments are student formed bodies which work for various fests on campus. Departments working for Oasis comprise StuCCA(Student Council for Cultural Activities), those working for APOGEE make up COSTAA (Committee of Students for Academic Activities) and those working for the BOSM form the CoSSAc (Council of Students for Sports Activities)

Hostel provides feeling of Home-Away-From-Home to the students. Keeping in view the same philosophy we provide a secure, comfortable and healthy environment for all the residents. The hostel premises has common TV room, tuck-shops (having stationary, barber, bakery, juice etc. shops) and state of the art indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

I gave BITSAT entrance exam which is online exam and you got your score right then. And then there is counseling process which is also online based. Then you will given branch on your score basis. Then you have to pay admission fees. And for final Registration you have to visit campus on given date.

Mechanical Department has highly educated faculty. Professors are friendly and give constructive feedback. Always ready to help students. You can also work under them on their project. Professors are best.
