My experience at Smt. Kesharbai Lahoti Mahavidyalaya : A Honest Review

The course was good enough to make the base strong but not relevent for working in the industry . The exams level was medium as the same repeated questions were asked every year . Just one thing about the exams was we have to write 4 pages for 6 marks question and that was tough to score.

No internships and campus placements avaialble for the bca students . Some small internship are available for the bca students but unpaid , rather we have to pay them for getting experience in their company . But for the commerce students placments are available and good apportunities are avaialble. Many banks come into the colleges for the placements.

The fees for one year was 15000 rupees. There was no scholorship available for this course because its a private course in that college . The fees was increasing about 100 rupees per year . In third year of graduation the fees was almost equal to 16500. Now the course is of 4 year and comes under ugc . For the SC,St students there was scholorship available.

The campus was not so big but the college was literally good and supportive to all things including the fees department andother departments . The students were encouraged to make the commitee to host the different events of the college . During the annula gathering dance , sports and so many things were conducted . The merious students were given the trophies and the cash prizes.

No eligibility criteria for the college . This college is better than rest of the colleges in the whole district. When I went to the other college for the admission my first experience was so bad that the faculties were not speaking polite with the students who have come their college , that college name is Shri Shivaji Science College , Amravati . Since the college is famous in the district I thought the college was good but seeing their rude behaviour of faculties i dont think so. One more thing that I did not choose that college was the fees were higher there than my college.

Our course was so old . Some subjects knowledge was the waste . The focus was on the theory than the practical implementation. Few of them very expert in teaching , consider out of 10 , 7 faculties were excellent in teaching and 3 of them were lacking the knowledge and teaching wrong things about the subjects . The faculty was so supporitve and the relationship between the students and teacher was so sweet. Now the course is of 4 year and the syallabus has been updated making it to the level of engineering degree and relevent in the market. My favaourite faculty was Sonali Barad Mam who was teaching us the subject name Numerical Method in the first year of the graduation for the both semester. She was sweet but strict and excellent at teaching . She was practicing students numerical methods problems multiple times and encouraging students for the study. The exams was easy to pass but in our college the students was not so talaneted such that out of 150 half of were able to complete graduation .

Boys hostel is not available . The girls hostel was good enough to live . The timing of the hostel to close was 8 pm . My friends were living there. At night college gets closed . No gym and nothing was there. Outside the college the night life becomes crazy because near the college good food places and the college comes under the student area were so many students can live near it due to which so many shops and stalls are there available . For student living point of view it comes under good active area.
