IIPE is good in terms of Education and Placements but lacks Social LIfe and enjoyment like Fests and Programs.

You will learn coding ( C and Python) even if you are in core branches like chemical, mechanical, petroleum. All courses are mostly energy oriented. You will get more holidays and the academic time is very less compared to other colleges. Exam difficulty level is moderate.

The college provides one internship for each student which is energy oriented and if you are interested in more than one then its your choice. but the exposure for good companies is very good. Internship opportunity is given in 3rd year of your college.

After 6 semester generally students become eligible for campus placements. companies like ONGC, HPCL, IOCL, Halliburton, Reliance, Total Energies, TATA etc visit our college. ONGC offered 24lpa for 2 students which is the highest in petroleum branch. Average package s around 8-9 LPA in our college. Mechanical branch has started only in the year 2023 so there aren't any placement data. Gail also offered 24 lpa for chemical students which is he highest. placement percentage is about 85-90%

campus life is a big drawback for our college, cultural events are very less when compared to other institutions. fests are bad. every year 2-3 sports events are held. there are different clubs like cultural, technical, photography, coding, sports etc. girls in our college are very less so it feels like you are doing engineering in a boys college.

Rooms are 2 sharing and they provide a table, chair etc and some general stuff for each one. Mess is mostly north oriented and the taste is not soo good(average). roti is everyday. chicken and paneer are 2 times a week.

I qualified jee advanced but didnot get a good rank to get an iit, after iits iipe is one of the good colleges in engineering when compared to other private universities which provide good placement opportunities in core branches. the only way our college accept admissions is through jee advanced. the cutoffs for the last round in 2024 year are Chemical engineering - 25934 in CRL, 3726 in EWS, 8782 in OBC, 3880 in SC, 1801 in ST Petroleum engineering - 25708 in CRL, 4074 in EWS, 8956 in OBC, 3971 in SC, 1678 in ST Mechanical engineering - 25134 in CRL, 4046 in EWS, 8885 in OBC, 3910 in SC, 1738in ST

The faculty to student ratio is good. Relationship is also good and they all are very much approachable. Senapati sir (mechanical faculty is very friendly). exam difficulty is moderate. 2 exams every semester (midsemester and endsemester)

As of now the temporary campus is in the middle of the city vizag but from next year we are gonna shift to permanent campus which is in the outskirts of the city nearly 36 kms from vizag so many things will be missing. Hostel is open for 10pm for boys and 9pm for girls. As vizag is a costal region it have many beaches and very good nature spots.
