My Personal Journey as a BTech student in ECE at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology

Well firstly i wanted to opt for CSE but due to my poor marks in JEE i got ECE through managment quota and after studyng this branch i find it interesting. Yess this is one of the tuffest branch but our faculties teaches us quite well mannered which helps us in gaining knowledge. They make sure that we make projects which are based on the real based problems and world and they also provide environment for participating in hackthons and many more competition.

Basically students from 3rd or 4th year can apply for internship and some 2nd yr student can also apply. They are many MNCslike Wipro , Accenture, TCS, Autodesk have visited and many startups have also visited. The average placement of our college is 5-6 LPA and highest package of last year was 49LPA from Autodesk. Almost 80% students get placed . My plans after competing my course is to appl for masters and then job

The year - wise fees , I paid is 1,15,603 for 1st year. The tution fees of GCET is 1,09,603 Rs and there is a security deposit of 5000 Rs which is refundabe after completion of the course. There is an application fees of 1000 which is One-Time-payment. We have to pay 7500Rs for examination fees which condcted by AKTU because our college is affiliated by AKTU. We can fill the KATU schoolarship form if we or admission is throught AKTU counselling or OBC category student who have admitted through Managment quota.

They conduct every fresher party which almost goes for 2 days and there is grand fest which is called UNIFEST and last year Akhil Sacheva and Javed Ali camed and this fest happens in April after 1st sem exams gets over and they conduct GIH which is Galgotia internatin hackthons for tech students and they give prizes for winner like money , some gadgets. The library of our college is fully fledged with good connectivity and they almost every books which are very helpfull and students can issue the books anytime it is open from 9 am to pm everyday and library is open on sundays for hostel students. They give environment for participating in Aktu Zonals which is sports competition. There is a biggest club which is rotract club which is international club and ar college also has its affiliation. And there any clubs in our college which is made by students.

Since I have opted for private hostel outside the campus becoz when i took admission i didn't get the seat as they have both college and univrsity student in their hostel. They have triple sharing and double sharing rooms and rooms are also quite big and cleaned. The food of hostels are also good and sometime they are bad but on complain they make sure the food is better.

i applied for colleges in AKTU counselling and i got ABESIT college i paid 20,000Rs for the confirmation of seat but later on i got to know that the college i wanted was ABES which is other branch of this college so i have to cancel my seat in that college but due to late cancellation i didn't get my money refunded so becoz of this i have apply for colleges through managment quota but the seats were almost full and i got rejected from many colleges also and my percentile in JEE wa 61% and in PCM it was in 60%. And then i applied in GCET and i got ECE and one of my cousin had studied this branch they told me about the opportunities through this branch and therefore this is how i choose this college. Through management quota the eligibility criteria for btech is :- you must have more than 75% in PCM. through counselling u must have appeared JEE exams.

The faculty student is ratio is also good and some faculties are very good they treat student just like there children and some are quite strict.Faculties are very helpful and caring. I espically liked my class coordinator and her name is MRS Shimpi Singh mam and she is very goood teacher she teaches us Network Analysis Synthesis.She has very much good knowledge and i espically like her confidence and attitude towards students. GCET conduct total 4 exams - 2CAE's and 2PUT's. All 4 exams are mandatory and there are corresponding marks are also important becoz they equally take part in the internals exams.

Every girls and boys hostel has gym in there hostel. There is a common cafeterias which is opened till night and libraries also opend till 7pm on MON-FRI . The hostel and campus is very much safe and it has lighting which is sure that there is no problems for uncomfortness. the hostel life is very good they celebrate every festival like our own family.
