Course Curriculum Overview

4

Making it better spaced out and not so uneven could make this more lucarative..and changing the order of chapters taught could help tremendously to keep up without feeling burdended. Timings could be increased in between exams too

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship can be housestaffship and there are a few short term programmes to do and some events and workshops to go to for building connection. This is one of the only main hospitals in durgapur so less opportunity comparitvely

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee structure for state quota student is 6 lac. Scholarships have to be asked to the academics section after admission and payment of admission fees. Only then such is accepted. Management quota is around 20-30lac.It varies.

Campus Life

4

Annual event only one occurs. Riccorenza. Books and journals are all accessible in the library. Facilities of ac and good auditorium is there. Sports is good, seniors organise a lot. No social clubs and such

Hostel Facilities

3

Ac room is there 3,2,1 room available there is also attached bathroom in 3 bedroom.there is caroom board for fun and no pg facility unless student has parent or relative present. Meals are at least healthy and lots of variety

Admission

I applied to all medical colleges of west bengal, and got this college by rank basis allotment through NEET. Cutoffs are extremely high, the cutoff was around 460/100 in round 1 for SC quota. I secured admission in first round itself.

Faculty

3

Faculty is extremely approachable with a candid approach to doubt solving. They are very experienced as well. Arindam sir, Sumit Sir,Pansy maam, Bishwaroop sir and many have guided me tremendously. They have always been very problem solving oriented and have vast knowledge in their subjects and love for it. Inspiring me as well. The exams were well rounded, however their scheduling could use work.

Night Life

2

Gym has good equipment. Cafeteria has good food.Library is state of art facility of ac and good books. 9pm closing time for 1st year students. City center is only place to hang out. Out of campus we can go to wards upon permission and there is a lot of greenery

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
