The MITS College

The college is really good. You get to enjoy your college and social life both. In this college, you can learn new things and can also enjoy life with your friends. And you can get a good job through placements specially if you are from CSE/ IT field.

Course curriculum is good enough to learn new things. Although, I feel in some subjects the units are not arranged in the right manner as they should be. But you will feel good enough once you start learning and get the basic understanding of the subjects.

No. Not that I have heard off. But they provide training in different fields. They also organize different workshops to learn new things. Any student can join the workshop and attend the classes. Some workshops are also organized for students outside the campus.

MITS provides placement in good multi national companies. Placements are good for CSE and IT streams. 80 - 90% of the students in these get one or more jobs by the end of the year. But not that good for other streams.

Well, there are many events that took place in college. There were events like MITSVAH in which various events were organized like the sherlock ( you have to find clues hidden across the college and find the murdere) , Dracarys ( based on Game of Thrones) and various other events. Also the college organizes a farewell party for the leaving batch every year.

The fees is expensive according to me. And it is increasing year by year. It was approximately 80,000 when I joined the college. But now, I think it nearabout 1 lakh for a year. Also since some branches are autonomous, like IT, BT, Automobile so there fees is extremely high.

There is no external scholarship or loan facility provided as far as I am concerned. The students who belong to the reserved category get obc/sc/st scholarship that is provided by the state as it is a state college and the unreserved can apply for some scholarship scheme if they have above 60% in 12 board.

There are not many extra curricular activities. Not any that I can remember off. But there are labs for various subjects which we are made to attend, but the things we learn in the lab are almost negligible.

Excellent. Although I am not a hosteller but I visited the hostel a time or two. The infrastructure is just excellent. Although I feel there should be more rooms. As in a single room 4 people lives. There should be room enough number of rooms so that there are two persons in a room.

We'll, some are helpful if you talk to them. They are good in helping. They will tell you what to study and from where to study, what is important for compay placement and any thing you will ask them.

The exam is held in three phases - two mid semester examinations and a end semester examination. The average of the first two mid semester examination ( 20 marks) are taken. Next 10 marks are for assignments. And last end semester examination are conducted which are of 70 marks. Total= 100

I got admission through the JEE main entrance exam. It depends on how much rank you got in this entrance exam and accordingly you will be selected for further processing. There is an online councelling for the admission process in the colleges. After the results of the councelling, and if you're selected for this college, you are required go to the college for document verification and to submit the fees.

Some teachers are good. But there is no faculty management. Teachers are not specialized in a particular field or subject. Like there may be the case when you are taught AI by an networking expert. Any teacher will teach you any subject.
