- The faculty is very inexperienced and they have never reached in other colleges also the knowledge levels are very low
- The college hostel is very expensive making it non affordable for middle class students
- College doesnot promote advanced studies rather just stick to the older curriculum
Course Curriculum Overview
The reason i choose architecture because it fascinates me how a place can be developed into holistic place interests me . The curriculum has some good inputs but it doesn't make you industry ready extra efforts should be taken to learn advance softwares extra classes newer research etc discussion on advance technology becomes important in modern age how architecture is changing is not discussed
Fees and Financial Aid
I completed my graduation in 2024 from D Y patil college of architecture the fees per year was 93000 out of which 81400 was tution fees and the rest include development fees insurance library charge etc now the fees has been increased to 101000 if you are from obc ,ews category you get 50 percent scholarship in tution fees so that you need to pay 51400 and if you belong to vj nt or sc st category you get 100 percent scholarship in tution fees and development fees
Campus Life
The annual event that happens yearly is called avirbhav which is called avirbhav it consits of sports days freshers cultural day and farewell for final year students it's a 6 day event for which students works collaboratively for decoration and management, all the college is divided into 6 houses for sports events which improves senior junior relationship other technical event are buildtech and archigami which include academic insights , the library has decents set of books which help students in their bachelor life , also a lot of thesis program copies are also present in library the classrooms are not audio visual but drafting tables are provided. Students are allowed to participate and practice for intercollege events such as shearforce and maidain-e-jung
Admission
Before applying to college i gave jee mains exam paper 2 I got 93.26 percentile i wanted to get admission in bricks college of architecture but could not fit into the merit list in for bricks but this was the second best college in pune and I wanted my admission to be in pune I took in dy patil the admission process is simple you need to give nata exam or jee exam and then you need to apply through state common entrance cell for admission a merit list will be published if you fit in the eligibility criteria you get admission or not you can apply through management quota 24 seats are available
Faculty
For each major subject you have 3 faculties and 2 for secondary subject and 1 for elective faculties are very helpfull but the knowledge levels are very low so the inputs don't really help us they try their best is what I can say
Night Life
Ther are a lot gym near by college the college is set in residential area sonthe rent is also cheaper a lot of cafe are present near the campus the locality is pretty safe at night as police continuously monitor area nightlife shutdowns at 12 no restaurant and clubs are allowed after 12
