Reviewing my college

Negative- The infrastructure here is not that great. The washroom is the worst. Canteen food is just average. No good hostel facilities. Positive- Fee structure Friendly staff (depends on the department)

It depends on the course you take. I had taken computer science course. It was good in the first year. But later all the good teachers dropped out. But which ever college you join, you should be able to prepare everything on your own and not depend completely on the college.

Yes. As internship was compulsory from this year, they have been providing internships. And it's pretty good. I got an internship at EY for a period of 3 months with stipend. Many of my friends too are Doing there intereship in different companies.

It's better than last year and i hope it improves year after year. Around 300 people have been placed this year. But you might not get the job in your area of interest. You should be open to other options as well.

There's not much to discuss about. We had a fest called oxford utsav(earlier called milana) which happens every year only if you keep on begging the principal to conduct it. There one technical fest called ignus(earlier called impulse). And an ethnic day and a sports day.

The fee for the students joining through CET is feasible. It's less compared to other colleges. The management fee begins from 1.5 lakh. If you really think that's worth it then go ahead. But i don't feel the same.

There's no scholarship for GM. Many of my friends scholarship. It basically depends on your cast. Don't know much to talk about this. But there's definitely nothing i know of as the college providing the scholarship for the rank students.

There's not much area or encouragement for sports. We used to practice a week before the vtu sports competition. Sports faculty won't even be there to train you. If you want to participate then you should form a team on your own and practice.

It's not that great. Boys hostel is outside the campus. I hear many of my hostel friends complaining about the food, water facilities. I would prefer PG over the college hostel to be really honest. There's no right time supply of water or food.

Nope. Not that much. It's very rare to be in contact with your senior once they pass out. But while in College there's a good relationship between the juniors and seniors. All those small fest will definitely get all the students together.

As it comes under VTU university, Exam are conducted as per the VTU basis. It completely depends on the VTU. Apart from that you'll have three internals and lab exams. Average of three internals will be taken as the final score. We write internals for 20. But batch of 2018 writes it for 25 i guess.

I had taken the CET exam after my PU. I had secured the rank of 18402. I had went through all the three rounds of CET. Once i was done in the round three where i had got the same college again, I didn't have any other choice but to join this. Compared to other colleges, I think oxford takes less college fee.

We had a great faculty till our 3-4 semester. But later many of them dropped out and the faculty who are there for us now are average except one or two. Many of the faculty won't even teach anything. You should be ready to take the subject in your own hand.
