Remarks

Management had some issues specially for a new course like E&I but they made significant progress over the duration of 4 years

Entrance Preview

On merit scholarship - 12th marks. For students not eligible for scholarship, there is an entrance test internal to Amity University which is not that much dificult just based on your basics of 10th and 12th

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Detailed and as per technology you are opting for. The only issue was that the curriculum was not upto date as per the latest trends or technologies in the field.

Internships Opportunities

Generally no stipend but depends on student. The internship is not offered from the university and students have to themselves look out for the internship opportunities whether paid or not. There is a 2 months limit for internship duration.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are good for IT/CS but not much for core fields. You can get placed in multi national companies which require man power and do mass recruitment. But for the good core companies of your field, you have to try off campus

College Events

3.5

Annual college fest. And lots of technical seminars collaborated with other institutes of Amity university. It covers a lot of different areas covering all the new advancements and technological achievements. Practical workshops were not that much popular though.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive if you don't get any kind of scholarship. Getting scholarship is possible based on students caliber. But the scholarships can be discontinued if the performance is not upto the mark.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarships like on-merit, yearly on basis of score and for under privileged students. Students can also try for university wide scholarships which are very less provided no of students and competitions.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is the best part including all kind of extra curricular and cultural activities. Sports facilities are also good but not frequent. There is one annual sports event "Sangathan" which comprises of almost all the sports you can imagine.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities were good but expensive. Food quality of the cafeteria is not that much good but there is lot of variety. Big franchisees like subway, dominos, vango, etc are also available on campus.

Alumni/Alumna

Not that much good network of students as the overall strength of students in university is very large. Although student groups work off campus but there are not many good options like social or cultural clubs on campus

Exam Structure

Exam schedule and structure was not very hectic. Good distribution of overall exams with sufficient studying offs.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty was ok but not very good except some. It depends on the course opted for. There were many good ones which had in depth knowledge and practical field experience as well. While others were not so good and you had to just mug up or put significant ex

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
