Remarks
Positive is all faculty who entertain and give support to students about all activites and well equiped labs is one of advantage for pratical learning. Negative is management which never provides basic facilities to students.
Course Curriculum Overview
As sjmit college comes under Vtu the course syllabus will be set by vtu as best of my knoweldge the prescribed syllabus is not competetive to the current need of respective industries.but whatever the syllabus thought it will be basic of industry standard
Internships Opportunities
College not provides any internship but industrial visits are organized locally but of district visits are not entertained but as it is part of academic syllabus we should plan for industrial visit by own risk
Placement Experience
Placements as of 2013 to 2017 are nill for mechanical and automobile branches.but core industry placements also nill.due to internal politics of management the placements not entertained in the college
College Events
College festival Spoorthi annual meet with sports celebrated it will happen 3days and graduation day after 1year of graduation celebrated and no send off to the graduated students.Lead from despande foundation is active in college functions
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible but the college never provided the basic needs for the students.drinking water also not provided earlier after lot of efforts by students it was provided no proper response from management.basic facilities need to provide as it is mandatory
Fees and Financial Aid
Vidyasiri provided by karnataka govt is one and only scholarship program entertained here.here also lot of corruption in giving the cheques to students by management.no other scholarships enteratained here.
Campus Life
Labs equipements are good , well equiped but lack of well equiped trainers only old lab record books are being used but no applied knowledge are thought.sports facilities not there only annual sports are played no extra ciriculars.
Hostel Facilities
We can rate 2 out of 5 , the hostel facilities are bad no hot water facilities, wifi is absoulte here canteen food also bad no proper maintainance of hostel.indoor sports gym also not there , old hostel not renovated at present also.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini network is not there as of name sake it is created.no meeting is being oraganized by management hence no support from alumini network to students in all aspects.senior students help students who are familiar to them but alumini network should help all students but here it is not entertained by college.
Exam Structure
It consists of 8 semester first 7semester comprises with 8 subjects each sem with 2 lab included.final sem with 6subject 4 theory and one seminar with project work.totally 8sem with 62 subjects thought.first year all branches having common basic subjects.
Admission
Karnataka state board conducts Kcet exam for pu students in that depending on rank secured we will get allocated colleges depending on merit list.there will be comed k entrance we can get through that also along with it managements seats also availabl3
Faculty
Faculty of college are well knoweldagble teachers who will thought the basics of respected branches which we cant forget throught the career.but one drawback is management which never responds to faculty as of now required facilities not provided by management to students and teachers
