- College was situated on the outskirts of Laxmeshwar, commuting was tough.

Course Curriculum Overview
As i was interetsted in doing the mechanical engineering course from the start, i choose to do it here. The curriculum provided by VTU is decent, but it lacks real world application. The urriculum needs to be revised once.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fee was 33,000rs (CET fees), apart from it the college fees was around 5000rs. Some of our batchmates had CET fees of more than 33000 depending upon the course. Various government scholarships were available to apply during the course. SC/ST students were exempted from paying the CET fees, so for them the annual course fee was around 5000Rs.
Campus Life
The college used to conduct Annual festival once in 2 years. The college used to conduct Sports in alternate years. The overalll college life was good, Library, Laboratory and other facilities were good
Admission
I had applied for BVBCET, KLEIT, and few other colleges. As per my CET ranking, SKSVMACET was the best college in the stream (Mechanical Engineering) that i was trying to apply. Admission process is through CET conducted by the Karnataka government.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio was adequate. The faculty were co-operative with the students. The college was affilaited with the VTU, so the exam pattern, marks system followed the VTU standards. Mr. Shrikant Badi was the best faculty. There are 8 semesters in the course (2 in each year), the exams are moderate to pass.
Night Life
As it is situated in a tier-3 city, the nightlife around the college was bare minimal. Hostel used to close by 8PM specially for girls. Laxmeshwar town is situated around 5km from the campus which has decent supermarkets, Gym and other facilities.
