The infrastructure is good with spacious class room provided with projector and screen for smart class.
Every department has separate library and course related laboratory
They also have central library, auditorium, canteen and large Play ground

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose electronic and communication engineering in SMIT. The main Reason is that we can go for both hardware and software related field, that is we can go for core companies related to our course at the same time we can also go for IT companies.

Class Size: 7Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For IT and tech companies like TATA consultancy services (TCS), wipro, Infosys, HCL technologies and etc. and core companies like laser & toubro( L &T), ashok leyland, mahindra & mahindra, TVD motors, siemens and etc.

Placement Experience

The college provided with placement training class since the first semester. They conduct aptitude test and also they help us to improve oru communication skills and etc. the 80% of students got placed in the companies by the 7th or 8th semester (final year).

Fees and Financial Aid

As the student of electronic and communication engineering (ECE) department at Sri muthukumaran institute of technology my course fees is 50,000/- per annum and the overall total fees for four years is around 2,00,000/-

Campus Life

They conduct symposium in each department and they also conduct club activities with the both technical and non-technical events. They conduct freshers day, sport events, and festivals celebration and there is also an IV (industrial Visit) for students.

Admission

I choose this college in counseling conducted by TNEA ( Tamil nadu engineering admissions ) in the year of 2022. I choose serval other colleges along with SMIT and I got an admission in SMIT since I prefer this college as my first preference.

Faculty

The faculties in our college are well knowledgeable and they also provide study material for each subject. For exam, they conduct assessment test and model exam before university exam to achieve good marks.

Night Life

As for the hostel they have separate hostel for boys and girls provided with the warden who is incharge for the hostel students. They also give out pass for weekend and leave as you want with proper reason.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.
