My College review

In the nutshell "Lucky to get a chance in this college" But if u want elaboration. at the initial point I thought may be it was a mistake as the building was not sophisticated, canteen was not that extraordinary and there were not greenery for the friends to spend quality time. however as time passed by the department the friends and the library were something that whispered it's best place to kick ur career

The college has nothing to do with exam structure or course curriculum. it's under Calcutta university and the university council decides the whole of it but the college, specially my department of physics always alters the students with every upcoming notices and news and faculties are too interactive, caring and enthusiastic about students to provide them best education.

Actually none of the students are obbesed for internship rather focusing on studies and cracking competitive exams to get a better college at Masters is their prime choice. Yaa internship invitations comes but none actually applies, also because attendance is a compulsion here.

A great fest for approx 3 days, called UDDAN is most famous when it comes to Asutosh. Sports event is also a lot awaited of its list that includes interdepartmental cricket, football matches. Also, it celebrates its birthday. Some dance competition, quiz, song completions, eta. also takes place .

Obviously much feasible. They just charge the sum of 6000 or so per semester and that too no extra charge. so many incident took place where student accidentally broke an apparatus but they never charged extra money for it. For fest or so too they never take up money from us!

Any girl can avail for Kanyashree prakalpa and for thia the college guides a lot and keeps all the updates also for merit based any student, if u are from science dept can apply for inspire and most of the students from my dept. got it as it's based on merit (12th marks).

There is well maintained laboratory in physics and chemistry dept they have more than 3 laboratories with all the apparatus well updated and properly functioning also the physics dept has an extra computer lab for its teaching us coding and plotting as far my knowledge, geology dept takes the students to excurtion and also for project.

Yes I found my seniors to be truely helpful and motivating.some of the seniors guided us of rules and regulations and also have us hint of which teachers are excellent in which field, how to approach for experiments, and also they recommend us really good authors that are worth reading for understanding and exam point of view as well

I filled up the admission form on online mode. They displayed the merit list on expected date. The councelling was were released within a week. I went for councelling, I was shortlisted and after document verification and a nominal admission fees I was into the college that provides one of the best faculties for physics platform.

I cant say about whole of the college but as far as my department i.e. dept. Of physics is concered i already mention the faculties take their utmost care for students. the professors over here are true inspiration for many of us. They not only solve for us problems out of the university examination, but also takes up time between the classes to make us understand of some facts required for competitive examination most importantly they are too friendly and this particular nature helps us raise our say on doubts and disturbances, be it practicals or theory portion of curriculum. I'm really lucky to get into touch of some awesome teachers in my life who increases my love for the subjects.
