Remarks
There are no much remarks except the college infrastructure which has to be developed by the state government. Remaining in all other aspects the college is excellent and it's one of the best medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
Course Curriculum Overview
My current course is about five and half years, containing 4 and half years college and 1 year mandatory internship in the associated hospital. My entire course consists of nine semesters and four final exams. After clearing four final exams and one year internship I can get my so called graduation degree and medical license.
Placement Experience
I haven't joined my internship. But as what my seniors have told internship in a government hospital consists lot of hectic work. As almost majority of the people comes to government hospital. Internship stipend given by government is around 16000 per month.
College Events
As it is a medical and moreover a government college we occasionally had events. We just have four main events. Freshers day, College annual day, sports day and graduation day. Graduation day is only celebrated by the outgoing batch.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Government colleges take a minimal fee. The fee in a government medical college in Andhra Pradesh is 10,000 per annum. Which is very feasible. Moreover they also provide fee reimbursement economically poor students
Fees and Financial Aid
My college offers only one scholarship facility that is fee reimbursement provided by the state government. The state government bears the entire fee the deserved candidates. We can apply for other national scholarships which don't come under our college.
Campus Life
We have many extracurricular activities. We have a big sports ground in our college hostel. Excellent lab facilities. During college annual meet we have cooking competitions, debate, singing, dance, essay writing and many other activities. There is also an annual sports meet.
Alumni/Alumna
My college alumni is very helpful. They are very helpful in developing the college infrastructure. They also help and guide us for our future. They had renovated many class rooms and also built an Auditorium in the college.
Admission
I appeared for APEAMCET 2016 and got 2207 rank. Based on merit list you have to choose any college of your choice and I chose Guntur Medical College as it is in my home town. Based on merit list and colleges opted by students the government allots the seats to students
Faculty
I have no words to say how awesome they are. My entire curriculum consists of nearly 19 subjects, out of which 14 major and five minor. First year consists of 3 subjects, 2nd year four, 3rd year 3 and final year 4. All the subjects are taught by highly qualified proffesors and we even have postgraduates who are very helpful and friendly.
