Remarks
Hygiene is a big negative aspect. And management and system like every government institute is something that needs attention. Rest it is one of the top 20 medical colleges in India. Teachers can be still improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are 4 proffs. 4.5 years of learning and one year internship. Total 5.5years. I think the 2nd proff which is 1.5 year can be shortened since it is quite long and there is no need. Subjective exam after every prof. Prac exams for each subject.
Placement Experience
Internship for one year stipend 13,000 per month. There are no job placements in our field. People usually take up for post graduation. Maximum students get into some post graduation n most of them have jobs.
College Events
There is annual cultural fest every year named BJ beats having many day events n night events including concert, garba night, cultural night, comedy night. And navratri is celebrated Every year in our campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's a government college so it is feasible and infact nearly free. 6000 per annum. The new batches have 25000per annum. Extra charges include 500 per annum for sports club (gymkhana). Hostel fees is mere 100 per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
All government scholarships are available for SC/ST/OBC. Including half the amount of fees. Free books. And scholarship of 10,000 on getting good marks in university exams. Since I am from general category I am not eligible for any scholarships.
Campus Life
Labs are amazing. Most well equipped labs in our city. We also have electron microscope. Extracurricular activities is something u have to pursue on your own. We have a big cricket ground. Badminton court. Carrom boards and table tennis room. The new batches will have tree plantation, quiz sessions and much more.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students for localites are helpful only till academic help for getting important notes and topics. Hostelite seniors help with day to day activities. It depends on individual person. There is nearly no ragging per se.
Admission
There were 4 board exams in 4 semesters of 11 /12th std. And one medical entrance test. Cumulative of these 5 exams were considered to make a merit list. I was in top 50 in the state. This is the best college of Gujarat, India
Faculty
Above average . Out of 14 major departments, 8 are non clinical. 3 of those are excellent. 3 average and 2 below average. Out of clinical departments it mostly is variable based on units. Some of them are excellent and some are average or just fine.
