Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well balanced and is undifferentiated for both MBBS and BDS. As a BDS student i didn't feel any discrimination against us we also perform Dissection . Study the same subjects and even extra 3 subjects We perform carving,make dentures,etc.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is of 1 year after ur 4th year. There is a good patient exposure. And there are cases of every type seen here The stipend is near about 10 to 15 k . There is a bond for job too from internship and then including another year.
Fees and Financial Aid
47000 fees per annum for nominee and all india quota 38600 for OBC general ST Mess fees 3600 per month Hostel fees 1500 Security money 1200 For UP students there is a UP scholarship exam u get refund of ur fees.
Campus Life
We have the freshers ,rhapsody ,farewell ,saraswati pooja ,annual sports meet These all events are celebrated very grandly in the convention centre We have a library with every book related to medical science. The faculties are good and there is every facility like projector comfortable chairs in the classroom Our class rooms are just as theatres We have a huge ground known as SP ground where every sports meet is held Our white coat ceremony was very grand it just lifted our hopes and gave us the feel of Dr's. There are many clubs for students keen in swimming , dancing, singing, sports and stuff.
Admission
If i tell the truth , I really didn't want to choose this course It was by chance that i didnt have any other option But now i dont regret entering it Because its KGMU the dream college of many childrens The entire college is filled with greenery It has temples,pool,beautiful hostels,mess with good food.
Faculty
There are two exams for bds in 1st year pre proff and proff Extra are the seminars,viva voce,practicals Staff has the potential to teach but they don't want to teach The faculties till now i liked is Dr keerthy mam,RK verma sir,nivesh sir,physiology and anatomy proffessors,JR's And SR's are the best and are very chill The biochemistry department is the worst no one really cares about teaching all they care is about scolding.
Night Life
The nightlife inside the campus is perfect Just the outside area is not that safe to roam around There are gym , cafeterias near by in walking distance Library facility is within the campus Hostel closing timings are 10 pm but students should be inside by 9pm Our classes for bds are from 8am and ends at 4pm theres a lunch break from 1 to 2pm For mbbs its from 9am to 5pm they have a sports class included too Famous places nearby are the two imambara's Malls are like 16 kms away There are markets known as aminabad and bhootnath in 2 to 8 km's radius.
