Entrance Preview

My AIR JEE mains is 17300( sc). I got mechanical in Uiet.

Internships Opportunities

Uiet does not provide any internship. Student have to take industrial training on their own. But stipend is given by central govt. For Mtech students. 12000 per month is the scholarship amount for mtrch students.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is good for CSE and IT branch. Companies like Infosys, cadbury, Honda, tech mahindra etc come in college. In 2015, 121 stufents get placed in Infosys with an average package of 3.5 lakhs. 4 students get placed in jugnoo with an average package of 8 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a SBI bank in Uiet which offer loan facility. No loan facility is there from college. But, scholarships are there for sc/sc, ews and merit students. For EWS students- 5000-6000 is the total fee per year.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good for students. As there is total 100 marks for a subject in each semester. 2 sessionals of 30marska each are there in every semester and best of 2 is added in for final. Final exam is of 50 marks, 20 marks are in teachers hand.

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

I want to go abroad for higher studies and after that work for a multinational company. I will be able to learn so much about what has been taught to us, the highest package that was given was 42 lakh per annum and the minimum is 10 lakh per annum and CSE gets the highest number of the package.

my college: pros and cons

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
