Course Curriculum Overview
Our college is under Visvesvaraya Technological University so we follow the curriculum prescribed by VTU and our evaluation and courses are also according to VTU rules and standards. A lot of new subjects have been introduced that are designed to meet the needs of the industry and the focus is slightly shifting to more of application based learning. We have 2 internal tests every sem and sem end exams after every sem. There are class tests and quizzes being conducted apart from the internal tests.
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty decent. The students become eligible for placements from 6th semester. The number of companies visited last year was 130 and number of students placesd was 823. Highest salary package was 29lpa and average ctc was 6.26lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got a seat in computer science and engineering course at CMR Institute of Technology through clearing KCET so my yearly fees is rupees 1,08,196. I have heard that my batchmates pay around 3L per year for a seat they've obtained by clearing COMEDK and for management seats it's 7L per year. There are scholarships provided to students by CMR Janadhara Trust
Campus Life
Overall campus life is good. There are various cultural and technical student clubs that are procative and conduct various activities for the students. The college holds an annual techno cultural fest named Cultura , for 2 days every year. The library is well equipped and is accessible to all the students and faculty alike. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards.
Admission
I chose this college as it's a promising college. It's location was the most important factor for me to choose this college. I got a government seat through clearing KCET examination. The college also accepts entries through COMEDK examination. There are management seats as well.
Faculty
Our college has qualified faculty who are always there for the students. They all have exceptional qualifications. They inspire the students to be and do better and are ready to offer any kind of mentorship or guidance required.
Night Life
Since the college is located at a prime IT hub there are a lot of companies nearby . The nearest bus stop is just outside college gate and the nearest metro station is kundalahalli or seetarampalya metro station. There are a lot of eateries just outside the campus. The hostel is located inside college campus. The locality is safe.
