"BIET Davanagere: A Hub of Opportunities with Room for Improvement"

BIET's curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, effectively preparing students for professionally and academic endeavors. Addressing the noted areas for improvement could further enchance the educationa; experience and outcomes for all students.

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

I am currently a 3rd year student of BIET, CSE department, which is one of the reputed college in Davangere. I opted to this college by my CET rank(9590). Mainly the government fees of CET is Rs.98984 from 2AG quota plus Rs.18500 as extra development fees of the college. Also Rs.3380 for the examination fees and Rs.3000 for purchase of books. Generally I am from 2A category and also My father is an government employee I received only Rs.12000 from NSP as scholorship.

BIET offers a comprehensive campus expirience. There are many cultural, academic as well as competitions are organized. Mainly we have two events such as Davana and Ethnic events are organized every year. Each will be organized on alternative semesters. Rather than this there are many events such as coding competitions, Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration (Dimdima), Sports events and many more. There are plenty of celebrations throughout the year. Also there is a central library in the college with provide many books and journals. Also every classroom has an availability of projectors which heps lectures to tech their students. Also all rooms are adopted with the CCTV cameras.

The main reason behind I opted this college is that I am a native of Davangere and also this college gives the numerous placements as I received from the seniors. I also apllied for BVB college, but my first preference is BIET. Compared to BVB, Biet provides huge placements than BIET. But due to my family concern I opted this college. I have no rejection from any of the colleges as my rand is low(9590) which I have got many top colleges. But due to some reasons I sticked to BIET. Admission of the students is done through exams like CET, COMEDK and also management. Most of the students come through CET and the cutoff for CET is around 25000. Overall admission is usual as other colleges.

BIET maintains a favorable faculty-to-student ratio, which enchances peersonalised attention and support for students. Also there are the faculties who give much support to students in their placement opportunities. Coming to the examinations point of view, there are mainly 8 semesters. Each semesters has two internals and an external examination. Also we have one lab internal and external for the specific subjects that are mentioned in syllabus.

Beyond the campus, the sorroundings of the campus is well known as student streets with many hostels, computer centers, food centers, Gyms, food cafeterias and many more. This street in overall Davangere is very good for the students. Nearby college there is a famous Glass House which would give a pleasant peace. Campus opens at 7AM morning and closes at 6PM evening. Also many people would enter campus for daily morning walk and to play football, cricket, etc in the morning. As I am a dayscholor I need not experienced much of nightlife around the college campus.
