Overall I will rate this positive if u see from the context of best institutes of Odisha. Ravenshaw has its own rich heritage of over 150 years. students throughout the state take pride in studying here. The alumni of Ravenshaw has been incredible over the years.u will never regret studying here if ur objective is to study in Odisha only.

Courses syllabus and books recommend is at par with the DU syllabus.Same can be downloaded from their website. Reading the course syllabus and books willmake it easy to crack the PG entrance exams at elite institutions like DSE,IGIDR, ISI, etc for economics. Though the exam pattern is quite easy.Local author books can make u score good easily . Exams are subjective with questions of 3, 8, or 16 marks.

Internships and job opportunity are not that attractive TBH.i will suggest to prepare for banking and competitive exams side by side and give them after graduation. Some Dept like those of Science and ITM can boast of better placement cell.

All major festivals and cultural events like farewell, fresher's annual function, sports day, literary events like debates,etc.anually Ravenshaw cultural fest is held with all kind of contests. Besides all hostels have their own individual annual functions.

They are decent. Extra curricular activities r suffieicent which include annual day and annual sports meet, Ravenshaw culutural fest, MUN, etc. Lab infrastructure is poor. Various state and national level sport events are hosted by Ravenshaw annually.

Seniors are very helpful and cooperative at least in our dept.in fact the faculty will ask the seniors to guide u. In class there is no ragging at all. Seniors will help with academics and work together to organise various functions in the dept .

Admissions to UG courses are purely merit based based on class 12 marks.There is no entrance test. If u r applying for BA Eco Hons getting a 70% above in class 12 will easily place u in Ravenshaw. Cutoffs decrease further for reserved categories and in subsequent list.

At least for Economics Dept. I can vouch the faculty is the best in Odisha. Especially the permanent faculties. u might face issue of guest faculites who are not that competent in initial semesters but still is manageable.Faculty will always motivate students and guide them for various career options.
