The untold facts of my beautiful college

I was quite curious about the functioning of websites, softwares etc,which led me to take this course. One thing I am always frustrated about is the writing part of this course, I mean there are many stuff to do, like practicals, experiments, notebooks etc. I think this should be reduced, leads to decrease stress among students.

I remember, a boy of electrical department of 6th sem got placed at some local company for about 6 lpa package. Every year placement companies comes to our college but offers very limited jobs(10 to 15 approx.) Of very low package. I personally have decided to do M. Tech after this degree in the sense of securing my future.

There is a fixed, non-refundable, one-time amount that is 6,800 mandatory to pay for each category (general, sc, st, obc) within 4 years. The actual fees of my course (computer science) is 78,750 for 1 year, the course time period is of 4 years, which means the fees will be 3,15,000 in total (4 years). Also there is a 100% scholarship for sc/st students, if they have registered through ACPC which means they do not have to spend a single penny

Our college celebrates a festival named "Ekatra" in every 2 years. It has many games, functions like gaming competitions, khatro k khiladi, talent show, robo racing, music, dance and art exhibition etc. It was conducted in February. Also many days are also celebrated like bollywood day, traditional day, denim day etc. in month of February. Also In every six months, talent show is organised. There are more than 20,000 books available in our college library, but when I approached there, the librarian refuses the availability of book. Talking about facilities, there is not a single dustbin in any of the classes of college, uses typical black board for studying. Thier is no seriousness of sports in our college except cricket. Not well-maintained sports room, no cleanliness there.

I enquired in many colleges of India just for fun, like Parul University, lpu university, Nirma College, swarnim college etc. The main factor that stopped me going there is money, I can't afford the hostel fees there. So I decided to choose a local engineering college which saves my hostel fees making my course affordable. Currently studing in Laxmi Institute of technology, sarigam administrated by Gujarat Technological University pursuing engineering in computer science. Talking about the admission process, there is a fixed one-time amount of 6, 800 to be paid for sports, books etc. Also first 20,000 of your college fees will be non refundable.

I think, there are more than sufficient faculty, available in our college resulting in good faculty to student ratio. Our teachers are very cool, humble, open-minded, very approachable and understanding. Also never hesitates to share experience, always available to solve the problem. If you are having doubt in any particular subject, they are always available to solve it, putting each and every effort to increase our potential. Many of the time, gives us updates of many extra courses not in syllabus. Coming on exams, I think the exams conducted here are of medium level, neither too hard nor too easy. Only one mid term exam is conducted per semester, sometimes re-mid also gets conducted in case, when many students got failed. These mid-term exam marks, assignment submission, and attendance evaluates our internal marks, approx. 70 in most of the subjects.

Yup, our college do have gym, football, basketball, cricket, volleyball ground etc. Our college library have more than 20,000 books to read. Our college is situated in green field, full of trees, grasses and greenary adding beauty to college. Also a green mountain neighbourhoods the campus making the view serene. I am not opted for hostel, but my friend does, my friend says, there is very beautiful scenary from the window of the room, also hygiene in hostel are top notch. Mountain is the best place to hangout out the campus with friends, practicing treking and other, Also basketball court, workshop and cricket ground is a preffered choice of students to hang out within the campus.
