I am actually pursuing CA so to have a degree i chose bcom and when i was searching for good university which provides correspondence facility... I found university of madras and the services were also good and friendly and fews was also nominal.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have currently paid my first semester fee which is around 8000 to 8500.i am doing my 1st year in distance education. Those studying at regular colleges... Have paid around 30,000 to 80,000 in their respective colleges. As of madras university i am not aware of the regular fees. Campus Life

Am actually sorry i dont have a campus life as it is a distance education. But i actually would love to have campus life. Infrastructure would be good as i have went for a view one time. Also i dont know about the clubs and social groups.

Admission

As i have chose the path of chartered accountancy.. In order to have a degree i chose bcom and for correspondence facility i chose madras university as it was much preferred by everyone who prefer to do distance education. The admission process is through online and candidates who have applied through online would be asked to send their original copies ceriticates through post or the candidate may go in perspm and get the certificates verified. No i didnt get any rejection from any colleges as i have scored more than 90%

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
