Overall JMI is "A" grade central institution in India

I would like to say "I am loving it". There's a rumour that JMI is not good for non Muslims. Coz Muslims are in majority. I would like to say:- Here you will get every type of people some good some bad. You have to choose your friend circle very wisely. Don't be political and just focus on your aim.

I think the Credits of courses should be decrease. We have format of more than 200 credits. Even IITs have 128 credits. JMI have strong chance to get the membership of NBA. After this JMI have to follow the pattern according to NBA. We have to give 2 internal and a semester exams in each semester. Internal exams contain 30 marks and semester contains 45 marks out of 75 marks (for 3 credit course). Scoring marks in electrical department is little bit tough in compare to other branches.

If u r in CS then placement is 'A' grade. For EC it is good coz some coding companies will hire you. Even if you know coding u will be hired(branch does not matter). And if u r not good in coding then problem arises. Now, if u have to be placed then u should be very good in your core branches. Because 10-12 students get selection in their respective core branches.

In JMI there are many societies like CSI, IEEE, RSI etc. And all of them organise a grand event each year.Here u will grab a better opportunity of team work and entertainment. JMI also organises it's annual fair.

Fee is the best part of JMI. Its too difficult to get a Central University in this range. For Indian students who get admission through merit list (10500 rupees first year. And from 2nd year 8500 rupees). For NRI students (approx $3000).

Every Central government scholarship is valid here. There's a special department for this. If u r girl and top your batch then u will get 20000 rupees for 1st rabk holder, for 2nd 15000 rupees and for 3rd 10000 rupees.

Lab and library are good. But Sports complex is too good. Here you can access most of games. JMI has it's own cricket ground and Virendra Shehwag is it's alumni. Similarly football tennis, table tennis, badminton court is available.

If you are in 4th year of ur graduation or pursuing master degree then u will get 2 bed in a room. Otherwise 3 bed in a room. Mess is average. The best part is that boys hostel is near the central library. So u can access it till 2AM. There's a reading room in every campus of hostel.

Alumni network is good. They organise JMI alumni association elections. Many alumni take part in this. Alumni list of JMI is rich. Viru Paji, Shahrukh khan, barkha dutt, anjna om kashyap and many more. Senior students and caring and cooperative. Raghav is not allowed.

I filled JMI entrance form in march in which i mentioned the branch preferences. We had to mention our Jee application number in this form.In july a merit list was released on the basis of jee mains rank. And then I was selected in 1st spot round.

I am in Electical department. Here you will get some very good professors and some are worst. Scoring marks is little bit difficult. Other things like lab and library are average. I am in 5th semester and we have 6 subjects in this sem,same was in 4th and 3rd.
