Course Curriculum Overview

2

Most of the people who choose iit delhi non circuital branches dont worry about the curriculum only thing that matters is the college. Curriculum is nowhere related to real word. It has no real world application. The courses have gone obselete the institute need to redesign the course . There are total 4 exams in one course 2 quic minor and major. The difficuly varies depending on the professor

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is divided in 2 types first is academic and other is mess fees and hostel one As im from general category i have to pay around 8-9 lakhs just for academic fees in 4 years Others who are from ews have around 10-20 percent waiver And sc/st have about 4-5 lakhs for 4 years

Campus Life

4

Fest I experienced at iit delhi is rdv(cultural fest) happened in October and tryst(technical fest) happened in march. The library is quite good like all the books required can be issued from there even there is a ebook alternative too. Clubs and sports are a great alternative to pass your time And there are all the sports we can think of even hockey aquatics etc. also clubs like dance drama and they even have spic macay ensuring diversity. All the clubs are run by student with just one faculty guiding and is at the top

Admission

According to my jee advanced rank i was either getting iit delhi textile or iit bombay environmental branch . I decided to choose iit delhi as it had better ranking compared to bombay and delhi is my hometown too. The eligibily is ig under 6000 rank to be the last student admitted to iit delhi exam needed to qualify is jee mains and advanced. Overall admission process is smooth after giving the exams

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is about 1:600 in some classes and 1:300 in some. The teaching methods are so bad that some student after passing the course dont even know the name of faculty who taught the course. They just come in class to fullfill 75% criteria. The exams depend on the professor some professor set difficult paper so the average does down and professors give 6 grade on average while others give 7 if average is higher.

Night Life

4

Nightlife of the canpus is quite great. In time of exams all the students are not sleeping at night (all nighter) and just studing either at library or at the hostel. To refresh the mind we can usually find many people at amul , cafe coffee day, or at nescafe. After first month (to avoid ragging) the fresher are asked to come to hostel by 10pm but after that there is no timings we can go and come as we like. There are many hangout spots inside and outside college . Lot of monuments are just some minutes away from the campus like qutub minar etc. the college is very safe to roam around at night

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
