IITH review

As far as I know there are no negatives about our college.But one serious issue is our college is situated in a place where there are more factories are located due to this we are facing some serious issues with toxic gases,some students are facing serious problems.We have complained the concerned so many times but they are not taking any action against them Hope this be resolved asap

Our academic system is called fractal academic system which very few colleges have.In this system every semester is divided into three segments.Each course has credits(1,1.5,2,3) and the runtime of the course depends on number of credits if it's a 1 credit course it runs for one segment or if it's a 2 or 3 credit course it runs for 2 or 3 segments.There will be no mid-semester and end-semester exams. Exams are conducted after every segment.Classrooms are limited so Professor takes the exam based on the availability of classrooms it may be morning 7 or night 10. Apart from that there will be some surprise quizzes or assignments or some small projects ,it depends on the professor. Also there are some courses which are not related to our department but we should complete them for credits ,they are Liberal arts and creative arts.Liberal arts contains courses such as learning new languages like German,French, Japanese.These courses will focus on our society problems.But in creative arts courses there will be courses such as writing review after listening to a story or after watching a movie.These LA's and CA's are one or two credit courses.If we are interested in other department's course we can register for that course.We can do a double major here that is we can get two degrees by completing some courses in our interested department

Placements are good in our college last year one student bagged a 1.2cr package. It's the highest and average package is around 12 lpa.Many students are getting placed in IT field even though their department is not related to IT.Very few students get placed into core jobs.These are the things I know about placements and I don't know about internships and stipends.

In our college we will celebrate freshers day at the start of first year.There will be competitions like best group photo ,best meme ,best pair.Mr.fresher ,ms.fresher. For every semester there will be DJ night and ice cream night where we'll get unlimited ice creams. Our college annual fest is one of the biggest fests in telugu states ,many students from other colleges attends for workshops.

For me the fee is so expensive. Tuition fee is 1 lakh and other fee adds up to 37000 so the total fee would be 137000 per semester for a btech student. For sc/st students tuition fee is zero Late fee fine is very very high 1000 per day .There is an sbi branch in our college we can take education loans at low interest Which we can clear after graduation

There are two scholarships available for us to apply 1)merit cum means scholarship 2)sc/st scholarship Second scholarship takes applications only from sc/st students whose parental income is less than 200000 And for MCM scholarship students other than sc/st can apply The only condition is the student should not get F in any course

We can access computer lab at any time by taking permission from concerned professor. We have football,basketball,volleyball courts available at any time (some students plays at 1 am) Cricket ground also available We can play table tennis also

Yes,I am staying I hostel.The hostel building are very very good.They will allot one room per student which is very rare in engineering colleges.we have 24 hours LAN facility.But we can't access gaming websites with it.We have a gym also.

We have an alumni club here for which first we should register by giving 2000 rupees.Also there an alumni club.There will be interactive sessions with alumnus to clarify our doubts regarding career and placements.seniors are very helpful to us Our college has zero ragging policy

First I have appeared for jee main exam and then after qualifying for jee main I wrote jee advanced and based on my rank I got into this college.The admission process is called Josaa(joint seat allocation authority) counselling .There will be 7 rounds in josaa councelling. First we should register ourselves in josaa with jee main roll number and then we fill our choices (IIT's,NIT's,IIT's and other GFTI's),As per our choices and our jee advanced/jee main rank josaa allots us a college, if we like the course and college you can freeze it then you have to pay the registration fee online and you should go to any college given in josaa instruction for certificate verification and seat confirmation.Or if we don't like the course or college we can opt for slide which means we can participate in remaining josaa rounds and then the process is same. If we don't get a seat in all 7 rounds there will be a special round after all 7 rounds we can register for it.We should be very careful when entering options during josaa councelling,once we submit our choices we can't change them after some rounds.If we don't get a seat in first round we don't need to fill our choices again the same choices are used so be careful when filling options.And the opening and closing ranks of all IIT's,NIT's,IIT's and other GFTI's are available in josaa website we can use this when filling our choices

Excellent faculty.They are very responsive. Many professors treats us like friends We can meet them at any time in their office we just need to send an email. The teaching is also very interactive. Almost all professors tried to give good grade to students
