Remarks

I just disliked about this college is that our social life is very boring. As i am a north indian i have many difficulties to talk to my class mates as most of them is south indians who are not able to speak hindi.

Entrance Preview

The admission in this college is not through any entrance exam. according to student's 12th marks they gave admission. I got 82% in 12th and took admission in this college in B.com honors stream which is considered the best amongst other B.com course. The cutoff marks is 75% for this course. The student must have taken maths in class 12th to take this course. Admission process is simple we have to fill up the form which we can get from college and submit to the admission office. Selected students will be called and they should make fees payment for admission. Otherwise form is also available online also.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

B.com honors is considered the best amongst other B.com courses. Nly 5-8 colleges which is affiliated to university of madras have this course. Even in these 5-8 colleges some are even girls college. So i took admission in this college.

Internships Opportunities

I am in the first year. Till now i have not got any internship. But for B.com honors group internship is compulsory and we can be there in top notch companies for internship. Every semester for our stream internship will be there.

Placement Experience

3.5

Till now about 250 student are placed. Placement is okay okay only not too good. But still the companies which comes to our campus is good only mahindra, infosys, net data, wipro are some of the companies which comes every year. The average they offer for ug course is around 12000-18000.

College Events

3

College festival is conducted every year. It is really big and great. Lightning and all is done very well any type of competition are conducted in this including games, music to cultural programmes. Participation is very easy. The student have to give their names to head of department and that's all. The student is accepted for competition.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has a provision of providing scholarships to poor and deserving students. The college provides merit scholarship, collegiate scholarship, post graduate scholarship, scholarship for sc and st etc.

Campus Life

3

The number of boys are more compared to girls. There is very less girls in our college compared to boys workshops is regular.Every month some type of workshop is conducted. But social life is not too good. Most of the student is south indians because of which north indians can't have exact communication and fun. But this college is having atleast some north indians compared to other arts and science colleges in chennai. The college is having a famous cricket ground. Here many indian team players come for practice or match for sports this college is very good.

Hostel Facilities

3

The college has a hostel building, to cater the need of the limited number of boys. there are 50 rooms with a total capacity for intake is 100. The hostel fees is around 40000-50000 per year which includes mess food also. The mess food is not too good not

Alumni/Alumna

The bonding between seniors with juniors is little high. Ragging is minimum. Seniors are helpful also. My seniors only suggested me to take this best course only they told me about this course. I didn't even know about this course at that time. Seniors are very friendly.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are very good and qualified. Eeryone of them is helpful. The teaching method is also good compared to other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
