Review my College GIST, Haldia

College authority ICARE Groul have their own different section of education section, like medical college and hospitals , Dental college, Nursing college, marine college, Law college, B.ed college, Hospital management college, Hotels and Hotel management college, Btech college, Mtech college. If any one studying here they have opportunity to take higher study from the same. Also job vacancy for ICARE project available. Also recruit in the teaching staff in the same college. It is private college, it is the negative point also it is positive as it has high infrastructure.

A 3 years full time Diploma cource is offered and there have 6semesters examination. 2 project has to submitted during 5th &6th semester also have industrial training, industrial visit in the last semester. During the course there have too many workshop and experiment done. It was technical job oriented course curriculum. Also in curriculum personal development class is there.

They have not give 100% Guarenty to give campus recruitment. But overall 40% student get job from college campus recruitment every year. Stipend get approximate minimum 6k per monrh. Some good company like L&T , TATA steel, HPL, also come. Also college authority arrange job fair with collaboration with some other college.

5th June a magazine is released, 5th sep also on our college foundation day health checkup, blood donation camp held every year. Annual sport and cultural program arrange every year. Students freshers welcome and farewell program held. As it was 5years to leave my college, I forget all the things.

Have facility to Emi type deposition of semester fees. Also bank loan arrangement by college. There have some scheme to reduction of fees for economical weaker student. As it is govt regulated technical college so no extra fees not taken. All the fees is regulated and controlled by WBSCTE board.

I was not taken any loan. But I know very well college facilated student loan. Also poor brilliant student gets scholarship from govt of west Bengal after diploma for higher study, all the process for that made by college. Also college have own schorlarship program for higher study.

College has all different lab and workshop building separated building and all are well equipped. Also have 2drawing hall with almost full of drawing table. It has 3computer labs almost 300computer with internet connected. It is so well facilated that some of job recruitment online Cbt exam conducted on my college computer lab by WB govt. In my college GIST haldia offered so many short term 3 months, 6month skill development course under Prime Minister skill development programming scheme. Also my college offered course along with diploma in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical and CST, bachelor degree of BCA, BBA, MCA and MBA course on the same building.

College have separated two building for boys and girls hostel with in the college campus. It was not compulsory to take college campus ,you can stay outside hostel, mess, paying guest and also you can travel from home. From my personal experience it is better to stay outside campus. Hostel charge was 2k per month. It may changed .

College has alumni but I think not too much active. Though I get invitation for annual alumni program I could not attend. Seniors students are helpful. They give news if their company have any vacancy they try to recruit their juniors.

A Joint entrance examination name JEXPO held, conducted by govt of West Bengal technical education board name WBSCTE. According to the rank you will select college and department what you want to study. The counselling process was offline but now it is online. I got admission through Joint Entrance examination.

All faculties are well educated M tech and IIT degree holders, Some faculty members also engaged with research. Also have patent on their name. Workshop and lab assistant were industrial experienced . But withdue respect my electronic lab assistant was lazy.
