GCET-An Overview

In this aspect, I would say they prepare you more for the exams than the real corporate world. They are more focused on attendance and marks than skill building and real-world problem solving, but there are some faculty that would give great advice regarding the corporate world, the placements and any other things also.

Placements in GCET are decent. students become eligible for placements from the 6th sem onwards. there are also a good decent amount of companies that come here for campus placements.major IT and Tech companies are: TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Hcl and Capgemini also some other companies are: L&T, TECH Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Siemens and Byju's.

I joined the college in 2022 and here is the breakdown of my fees under general category: 1st year: tution fee:109603 admission fee:25000 i-card fee:1000 exam registration free:7500 (approx) 2nd to 4th year: tution fee:109603 exam registration fee:7500 (approx) SOME GOVERNMENT AIDED SCHOLORSHIPS ARE AVAILAVBLE. CAMPUS HOSTEL FEE STRUCTURE: I joined the campus hostel in 2022.i first year the fee for a non ac 3 seater room was Rs.112000. but then the fee increased in 2nd year and since then it has been Rs.126000 for a non ac 3 seater room.

My experience at GCET has been quite fulfilling in terms of academics, social involvement, and overall exposure. The campus offers a decent blend of education. Fresher’s Party and Farewell – Organised by respective departments, these events help students socialise across batches. Thousands of textbooks, reference books, journals, and e-resources across engineering, management, and the sciences. Library hours are convenient, and students can borrow books using their ID cards.

GCET provides separate boys' and girls' hostels located on-campus as well as nearby in the Knowledge Park area. The hostels are managed by Galgotias but are also supported by private contractors in some cases. Room Facilities Rooms are shared (3-seater) with limited single occupancy options. Each student gets: A bed, study table, chair, and almirah Attached washroom Basic ceiling fan and tube lights Wi-Fi Common room with TV, indoor games, Gym Laundry services (paid separately) 24×7 security and wardens Food is not very good. The only problem in this Hostel is the food.

When I was exploring engineering colleges, I applied to multiple institutions. But my final decision was based on many aspects. The placements in GCET are good as compared to nearby colleges. The fee structure is also very affordable. The campus was very active with clubs and events. The faculty was decent, and it was easily accessible as it has a metro station very near.

in our class there are 70 students. so the faculty to student ratio is about 1:70. faculty are approachable and always ready to help. i found some of the best faculty here but some were also not so good. Overall the faculty is decent.

While GCET is not a party campus like some metro-based universities, students have built their own ways of enjoying downtime, especially in the evenings and on weekends. The college offers a decent atmosphere to relax, connect, and explore a little local nightlife, though things do wind down earlier compared to major city campuses. Campus Timings & Facilities at Night Library: Open till 8:00 PM on weekdays; not available late night.
