Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at CMR Technical Campus is fairly good and covers the basics needed for engineering. I chose this course because it includes core technical subjects, programming languages, and some practical lab work.
Placement Experience
At CMR Technical Campus, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Many companies visit the campus like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, and HCL. The highest package offered was around 10 LPA by product-based companies, while the average package is between 3 to 4 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am pursuing B.Tech at CMR Technical Campus under the Management quota. My yearly fee is 1,15,000, and the total fee for the 4-year course is around 4.6 lakhs. This includes tuition fees, lab charges, development fees, and other compulsory charges. The fee has remained the same every year without any major increase. Students from SC, ST, and BC categories who joined through EAMCET get government fee reimbursement of up to 85,000 per year, and they pay only a small amount
Campus Life
My overall experience with campus life at CMR Technical Campus has been good and enjoyable. The college organizes annual fest "CULMYCA" and technical fest "TECHNOVATION" usually around February or March, which are fun and full of activities. The library is well-maintained with a wide range of textbooks, reference books, journals, and access to digital resources. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and good seating, and some have smart boards. The campus also supports sports like cricket, volleyball, and indoor games, and encourages participation in extracurricular.
Admission
I applied to a few other colleges along with CMR Technical Campus, like VNR VJIET and Gokaraju Rangaraju, but I didn’t get admission there because my EAMCET rank wasn’t high enough. I chose CMR because it had a good reputation, a decent placement record, and a spacious, green campus. Also, some of my seniors recommended it for its faculty and facilities. The admission process at CMR is simple. For regular seats, students need to qualify in TS EAMCET, and the cutoff rank depends on the branch. Management quota admissions are also available without EAMCET, based on intermediate marks. The college accepts students who passed 12th with MPC stream and usually conducts a counseling process for seat allotment. My admission experience was smooth and the staff was helpful throughout the process.
Faculty
The faculty at CMR Technical Campus are generally supportive and approachable. The faculty-to-student ratio is good, and most teachers are helpful when we ask doubts or need guidance. Some faculty members are very friendly and treat students with respect, which makes it easy to learn.
Night Life
The nightlife around our college campus is pretty relaxed but enjoyable. The gym usually closes by 9 PM, so those who like late-night workouts have to plan ahead. The cafeteria stays open till around 10 PM, offering a few snacks for those who are still hungry after a long day. The library, being an academic space, closes by 8 PM
