Remarks
BHU is undoubtedly one the best universities in the country. It has a huge campus, good social life, experienced teachers and in overall the pure ambience of Kashi. Dont think twice if you ever get a chance to study here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course curriculum is of high standard which makes it different from other universities. All papers are generally of 100 marks with 70 marks for the finals and 30 for the internals. Odd semester exams are held in Nov-Dec while even semester exams are held in May-June.
Placement Experience
Placements, Internships and Stipend depend on the type of course. Internships and Placements are common in technical courses such as LLB ,LLM and MBA. Other courses offer placements on a lower scale.
College Events
Events are generally of 3 types- Department events, Faculty events and the Central event known as Spandan which is held every year in March. Apart from that lectures,quizzes and other competitions are held from time to time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is extremely feasible. The per year fees in BA for regular seat is 2k and Paid seat is 10k.No extra fees for exams or form fillups is charged. Only 300 rupees is charged in the 2nd 4th n 6th semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships or Loan Faculties are not very common in the Graduation and Masters courses. However students pursuing research(Phd or M.phil) receive scholarships of the University if they dont receive NET scholarship.
Campus Life
Sports facilities are very good in the University. There are several grounds for all types of Sports- both indoor and outdoor. There are also few small stadiums in the University. Labs and halls are also abundant in the University.
Alumni/Alumna
Although i dont know about the alumni network,but the seniors are extremely helpful. BHU is a ragging-free campus and the seniors act as guides for the students, helping them in every day-to-day-to-day matter.
Admission
Through cracking the BHU UET i.e.Undergraduate Entrance Test.After the results are out, students are issued call letters through email for counselling. They also have to fillup a preference form giving preference of their subject combinations. Higher marks in entrance lead to obtaining high preference combination.
Faculty
The faculty is extremely good. Most teachers have their background in BHU or other renowned institutes. The Professors are strict and sincere and help the students a lot in clearing their doubts. However the reservation policy does mean that there are a few bad teachers too.
