Entrance Preview
Based upon gujarat state board examination I got admission. I scored 87 percent in OBC category. Interview was held at L.D. engineering college, Ahmedabad. I choose this college for its reputation for practical exposure.
Course Curriculum Overview
Medical syllabus is lengthy and you need to spend lots of time in reading and remembering. Practicals were nice. I cleared all subjects throughly. Final exam is quite tough. Only voracious reader can clear it.
Internships Opportunities
I worked six month in baroda and six months in surat civil hospital. Without internship your knowledge is not complete. I learned lots of things like emergency, primary care etc.
Placement Experience
Many students go for post graduation. I worked for private hospital in baroda. It is professional course. No need to worry about placement.
College Events
Yearly we use to have cultural festival called "vibrant". Most of the students participate in it. Besides that we use to have seminar on stress management, mind power by guest speakers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As it is government college there is fees which any one can afford. It was just Rs. 5000 or less annually. There is hostel fees approx. Rs. 500 per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship or any such things. Reserve category students get some scholarship for hostel fees.
Campus Life
Campus life was enjoyable. There use to be workshop on "discover your self" in our hostel. Good pavilion for sport enthusiastic. Doors of hostel are always open. No time restrictions.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good. For 1st year is few kilometres away. Food was average. Many students order outside tiffin or eat in canteen also.
Alumni/Alumna
There is alumni network of students who went to USA. There are supporting college financially. There are Facebook group of the students. But after some years many of them get job or do private practice at Native place.
Exam Structure
Lots of oral test. Internals, preliminary exam and then final exam. It is quite hectic. Many hours of reading daily.
Faculty
Faculty in government college are well experienced and qualified. Ready to help the students. Without guidance from faculty it is difficult to clear the subjects.
