IET- An Emerging Institute

IET was not doing best in the past , but now the scenario is changing drastically. Labs condition are improving and so are the placement records . Infrastructure is also improving and a examples is the auditorium which was inaugurated year before , has the capacity of 800 people. And thus in a nutshell it can be said that IET is getting better day by day and in future will be a top choice of students.

The Course curriculum changes almost every year, be it a minor change only. The Syllabus is set by AKTU and college adheres to it. It is a constituent college of AKTU. Internals are carried out twice a semester and the end semester exam are carried in the month of December/May.

Our college has a Training and Placement cell which handles all the placement related activities. Placement in our college has been improved considerably under our new T&P head. Various companies are attending recruitment process and also hiring our students. Internship as such is not provided by the college. Students generally find on their own basis.

There are plentiful events which are celebrated in our college. Firstly Shouryaotsava the annual sport event of our college is generally a 3 day event. Parakaram is the technical event of our college. Encore is the cultural event of our college. Also various branch fest is also celebrated every year in which students participate with zeal.

The fees structure is quite feasible. It is around Rs. 85000 for non hostellers and Rs.99,000 for hostellers per annum. Also for self finance course which are information technology and Electronics and instrumentation Engineering Rs. 15000 is added in the fees. The mess fees is around 17000 per semester.

Uttar Pradesh Scholarship is provided to every student whose family income is less than 2 Lakhs P.A . The Dean Student Welfare manages all the steps required to avail scholarship and makes sure that every student gets the scholarship in time.

Our college has a large sports ground in which every year Shouryaotsava is celebrated which is the annual sports event of our college. Now a stadium is being built which is of the state of the art quality to provide good amenities for students interested in sports. Various clubs are active in our college like Excelsior - The literary club , Parmarth - Social Club, IET Josh - drama club, Aurora's and Swaranjili- singing club and many more which indulges student during their free time. The condition of lab is being improved from time to time and many equipments are yet to be installed to make practical studies easier.

Seniors are our second teacher. They guide us through every phase in our college life, be it in studies or other activities such as sports and competition. Also there is an Alumni association which is very active , we are all connected via social media through groups in which they post various job opportunities in their resepective field.

Our college is a government college . It's admission is done through the UPSEE examination conducted by AKTU every year in the month of April. The results are declared in the month of June and counseling starts from July . Students who get their desired branch through counseling are asked for reporting to college for payment of fees and verification of documents. The first two weeks are induction program and studies start from month of August.

College recurits most of the faculty on contract basis. The faculty recurited is generally a post graduate degree holder or a P.hd holder. So yes the quality of faculty is good and hence the quality of education also.
