Remarks
Both positive and negative aspect of the college is that it is a Government college not a private one. In the positive side the value of students at different national and international platform is better than that of other students and on the negative side the college focuses more on academics and less on placement infrastructure etc
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is BALLB, a five years course consisting of two distinct degrees of B. A. and L. LB. Course is divided into 10 semesters in which first four semesters consists of Arts and Law subjects and rest of the six semesters consists of only law subjects. Each semester consists of one internal exam and one external exam accompanied with project and presentation. All this sums up to a total of 100 marks in each subject.
College Events
Every year basically three to four events are celebrated, the first one is Fresher's party, hosted by the 2nd year students the event is open only to 1st and 2nd year students. Other events are Udbodhan and Confrego, these two events are open to everyone and are organised by students only.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Semester fee is 50k, less than what most of the other private colleges. It is a self financed course therefore it is 50k, other university courses are much cheaper than this. But it is worth it because of the infra and facilities that are made available at this cost.
Fees and Financial Aid
Few of my college colleagues avail the UP STATE Scholarship, whoch reimburses the tution fee and hostel fees. And not only that a small amount is also given apart from fees for livelihood. Only requirement is the income certificate and domicile certificate.
Campus Life
The college is unit of University of Allahabad and therefore the sports Committee comes under Allahabad University. University has it own teams consisting of students. Apart from sports other ECAs like debates moot courts panel discussion photography competition etc are held every year.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network of the faculty consists of distinguished Judges, Advocates, Administrative officials etc. In the year 2019 only, an overwhelming number of 65+ students cleared the UPPCSJ examination adding 65 more future judges in the network.
Admission
Law Faculty Admission Test or LFAT is the entrance exam held every year for the admission in Allahabad University faculty of Law. The exam consists of objective questions of Law, English, Hindi, General Studies, Maths, Current Affairs. After the exams, results are announced within 15-20 days. The cut off is published only after 1 month or so and the students who qualify are asked to attend the counselling and document verification. Only After the completion of the counselling and submission of fees, one is admitted into the college.
Faculty
Faculty of our college consists mainly of two types of teachers, one who are the old and experienced one and second who are new in this profession. The former one are certainly the one on whom we're proud of, they have the experience and they know what to say and when to say. The new one's on the other hand are trying their best to make us understand the topics. Overall the faculty is nice and helping.
