Course Curriculum Overview
The college is autonomous and works under Kerala university with special powers. There are two semesters in each year, one during April-may and other in October-November. The results will be out within 48 days after the exam. The college is having a special syllabus mentioned by Kerala University.
Placement Experience
The college is autonomous and accredited by A grade by NAAC. It also rank 83 in NIRF ranking. It has many add on courses and the placement is high. Many leading personalities in the country is a fatimate.
College Events
The college events are run by the college management and students union. Every year many events are taking place including union day, college day, sports day, arts day, science congress and exhibitions, etc. The Kerala Science Congress was held here in 2019.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college is aided by the Kerala government and the fees are as prescribed by the government. My fees is Rs 500 per semester and Rs 450 for exam fees. No other expenses are there except lab fees which is less than Rs 400. The self-finance branch of the college is having fees between ?5000-?8000 per semester
Fees and Financial Aid
There is E-grant provided by the government for poor students. Also, there is fisherman scholarship, sc/st scholarship, one girl child scholarship, etc. This has to be availed from the respective government departments.
Campus Life
The college campus is marvelous and the campus is itself a botanical garden. A Mollywood film 'Masterpiece' has been shooted from here. Also, many sports competitions are also held here by the college union and the government as it is one of the most reputed colleges in Kerala.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of the college are great. Film actor Suresh Gopi and Balchandra Menon have studied here. There are also national award winners. Kerala fisheries minister J.Mercikutty Amma is an alumni. Also film actor KPAC Sunny, Chandni, Kundara Johnny are also fatimate
Admission
I registered through college website www.fmnc.ac.in. The admission procedure starts during June soon after the +2 results are out. We can register through the sight above and wait for the merit list to prepared. Latin catholic, sc/st students are having special attention in admission procedures as it is a govt aided Latin catholic college
Faculty
The faculty of the college is awesome with friendly and well-educated teachers. Most of them are having a doctorate and having good certificates. There are 12 undergraduate courses and 10 postgraduate courses. There are also 7 full time or part-time research leading to ph.d.
