Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE mains and scored 195 , then i qualify for JEE advance and scored massive 280 marks. I opt this college because i heard and searched that IIT Kanpur is no1 engineering college in india and has environment friendly and ragging free campus. The main reason behind opting this college was IIT is like a brand , if you get it , you are 100% sure to get job.

Course Curriculum Overview

The undergraduate degree programs in Mechanical Engineering have a strong flavour on design and hands-on experience. The programs include a deeper study of a number of engineering sciences to which students are introduced at the core curriculum level, theoretical and experimental solution of physical problems, and design of systems relevant to the contemporary industries.

Internships Opportunities

Very good. Companies like google, facebook, mahindra, wipro, infosys, etc came for internship programme . I got selected in google for internship. 50,000 rupees.

Placement Experience

Placements are very good. companies like google, facebook, wipro, infosys, oracle, etc came for campus placements, nearly about 1100 student got selected in campus placemet and i got selected in google and they offer me rupees 10000000.

College Events

Memories from events like techkriti and antaragni are my lifetime moments .I make na robo for robowar in techkriti and met to rock band poets of the fall.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not so good. You have to pay nearly about 4 lacs per year . It is quite expensive. But i managed for it by taking the education loan.

No , no good scholarship loan facilty offered to me . As i mentioned, i take education loan from SBI.

Campus Life

Very good , my friends are very helpful and teachers and staff are also very helpful. Campus is environment friendly and hygenic. You can go fot it. so please go for it.

Hostel Facilities

Very good, air conditioners are present in every hostel room. Hygenic . Mess food is very tasty and hygenic.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are respectful to their juniors. Their is no sign of ragging in the campus, i am thinking about joining the alumni network . After studing in this college, i felt that there is no boundations between seniors and juniors.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is too good . Exams are very tough . lab practical are very good and the lab staff caresall the students.

Faculty

Faculty in college is very kindful, helpful and friendly. Teachers always ready to help sttudents either it is day or night. Staff is also very good and maintain the college as their baby.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
