Remarks

My college is very good with ambient environment for studying. It is situated at the cultural heart of Kolkata. So communication is excellent. There is a huge amount of greenery around the college. But as it has a huge patient load it is a very crowded place

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our course curriculum is a bit older. Some stuffs we learn are of no use in professional practice life and we have to learn some important things on our own interest, but recently new MCI syllabus has come for our juniors which is good. Exam structure is not very good. In such a professional subject I think there should be more practical intelligence based questions than the old back dated questions

Placement Experience

5

Job opportunities are very high , placement is 100.00% . We have to do a compulsory internship of 1 year in our college itself. After that you can work as a house stuff doctor in the hospital itself or you can join corporate hospitals. You can also for higher studies

College Events

3.5

1.Foundation day : It is held on 16th and 17th January. Arranged by college authority. 2. Swaraswati puja arranged by the students association and college authority together 3. Academic fest arranged by the students association 4. Nonacademic fest arranged by the students association 5. Freshers welcome arranged by 3rd semester students

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a government medical college. So it free. Only 750 rs per month is taken as the college fee. So in the whole 9 semester duration we have to spend only rs 40500. Admission fee is 1000 rupees. There is also scholarship program for financially weak students

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship program is there for poor students who have secured more than 60% marks. They don't require to pay the college fees. There is arrangements of various prizes. All the toppers from the respective subjects are given gold medals,

Campus Life

4.5

There is no scope for extracurricular activities other than some indoor sports. There was a plan to teach self-defence techniques to the doctors but it never started. We have two carrom boards and two TT boards. We have a small playground too but most of the time it is not ready to play

Alumni/Alumna

Yash alumni network and senior students are well connected to the college. Then contribute and take participate in most of the programme arranged in the hospital. They also provide money for some scholarships too.

Admission

I crack NEET-UG entrance examination. Then the merit list published. After state registration I made a choice filling among the medical colleges. College was allotted on the basis of merit and choice filling. Then went to college for admission

Faculty

3.5

We have a good number of faculties. Some of them are awesome, some moderate and some facilities are not at all good. Some of them uses PowerPoint presentations beautifully but many don't know how to make a good presentation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
