The Untold Story of NIT RR

The mechanical background has ic engines and carnot cycles which interests me more towards it . NIT has various machines where we can get hands on experience and here we can also coordinatw with cse department to integrate our aiml knowledge with mechanical skills . The difficulty level of exams depends on students but the exams are well designed to check the aptitude .

We have various internship opportunities here at nit raipur. Tata Steel offers internship to many core mech students for various positions . DRL offers internship to mech and chemical students for data roles, DE Shaw offers SDE roles to cs/it students and many companies lie phonpe, zs associates and blackrock also offer internship opportunities. We can intern at our college core department, where they refer us to foreign universities in best case for abroad roles .Deloitte offers sde roles to all students and Adobe offers SDE roles to all branches . Many opportunities are available for metallurgy and mining branches for core engineering or non core also.

Students get ppos from the third year end itself that too very high packages . PhonePe , DE Shaw , Tata Steel .Deloitteb, Blackrock , Drl and many more comapnies offer ppos . generally all branches have good ppacements except biotech and biomed . mechanical and metallurgy students get generally more than 90 percent placements that too with a average package of 10 lakhs . Highest package ranges from 55-62 lakhs with IT branch average 18 lakhs . My plan is to pursue masters in aiml after btech.

The total tution fees is approximately 5lakh and hostel fees is about 55000 per year . we have many scholarships also like full fee reimbursement for economically weak students and students from income 1-5lakh and also for sc/st students to promote education . for students with family income less than 1 ilakh we have 15600 rupees for first year and 9500 for 2,3 and 4th year students .

Th e annual festival of Eclectika is our major cultural festival where major celbrities and edtech experts come . The major sports fest is Samar. The libraries here have all the major books from all the branches that are available in India and also from foreign authors.We have a sports complex which has a badminton court and many other games likle chess, carrom,snooker etc . it is open from 6-9am in morning and 4-7 in evening .There are many clubs like ECELL, Icell, tcp , aviation and motosports club which engross students throughout the year . The college also allots funds to such clubs for proper functioning .

hostel is only provided to the top rankers in jee mains in first year and top cgpa holders from second year . Reservation is also given to sc/st and pwd obc students . the hostel facilities for first year are really good . for first year there are 4 hostels for boys which are kotumsar ,mainpat, chitrakot and malhar and indrawati,mahanadi for girls. The food is very good . for second third and last year we have sirpur hostel with triple accomodation but food and water quality is not upto mark for senior hostels

I had the option to choose manit bhopal mechanical but i chose nit raipur becuase its curriculum is well designed to engross students along with nice labs and well student faculty interaction and the faculties have various foreign connections making it better for students to apply for internships abroad

The faculty to student ratio is around 50:1 which makes it very simple for students to understand the classes and interact with the respective faculties . Dr swamy of thermo is an excellent sir and Dr Rahul Salhotra of EG is also experienced in his field . we have two exma s ,one is midsem and then the end sems making it more comprehensive for the students to understand the syllabus effectively.

We have a gym in our campus that is functional in the morming and evening hours . we have mamny cafes like pi tea, amul parlour , a canteen and a big Indian Coffee House . We also have a Bmart where students can buy everything ranging from food to stationary . The campus in time is 9pm for first year and 10 pm for the rest and same is for hostel . We cannot roam around at night due to security issues. The pi tea is a famous hangout place and the oxygen park and central grden are also famous among newbees.
