Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course at MNIT Jaipur is good and useful. I chose it because it teaches both theory and practical things, like basics of electrical engineering and new technology. It helps prepare for jobs and further studies. Exams are twice every semester, mid and end, and they are a bit hard but fair. The course can be better if there were more practical work and updated topics. Teachers should also make classes more interesting instead of only talking. Overall, it is good but can improve with more hands-on learning.

Internships Opportunities

5

MNIT Jaipur offers good internship opportunities, especially from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like Bosch, L&T, Tata Power, and Schneider Electric visit for internships, mostly for roles in core electrical engineering, design, and research. Some IT and software companies also offer internships. Some students get to work on real industrial problems or help develop small prototypes. Many internships are paid with stipends ranging from ?8,000 to ?30,000 per month depending on the company and project. These internships help build practical skills and improve job chances after college.

Placement Experience

5

At MNIT Jaipur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. Many big companies visit, like TCS, Infosys, L&T, and Bosch. The highest packages can go up to 40-45 LPA in top companies, but average package is around 7-8 LPA for core branches like Electrical. Around 70-80% of students get placed through campus. Most profiles offered are in software, core engineering, and analytics. After my degree, I plan to either join a good core company or prepare for higher studies like M.Tech or even government jobs depending on opportunities. Overall, placements here are solid and give good options for future

Fees and Financial Aid

As an OBC-NCL student at MNIT Jaipur, I pay around 1.1 lakh per year. Hostel fees are extra. Scholarships are available and help many students. Fees increase a little every year but are mostly affordable.

Campus Life

5

Campus life at MNIT Jaipur is pretty good. The big annual fest is “blitzi” held in March, and the tech fest “sphinx" is usually in October. The library has a wide range of books and journals, and it’s easy to access them physically and online. Classrooms have good tech like smart boards and projectors which help in learning. Sports facilities include cricket, football, basketball, and gym. There are many student clubs for coding, drama, music, and social causes, and they keep campus life fun and active. The student portal helps with communicating events and resources. Overall, college life is balanced between studies and social activities.

Admission

I applied to a few NITs and state colleges but chose MNIT Jaipur because it has better infrastructure, faculty, and placements compared to others. I got admission offers from MNIT Jaipur and one or two other NITs, but MNIT felt more promising for electrical engineering. I faced rejection from some colleges due to lower JEE Main rank. MNIT’s admission is mainly through JEE Main, which is the most preferred exam for most students here. The cutoff for electrical engineering is quite high, around 15000-25000 rank, depending on category. The admission process was straight forward register on JoSAA, choose preferences, and seat allotment happens based on rank. Overall, it was smooth and transparent. I feel lucky to be here because the experience and opportunities are better than what I expected from others.

Faculty

5

more small Faculty-student ratio at MNIT is about 1:15. Most teachers are helpful and easy to approach. I liked Prof. Sharma and Prof. Gupta for their clear teaching. Some, like Prof. Singh, are strict with tough exams. We have mid and end-sem exams with a few internal tests. Exams are hard but few fail because of internal assessments. The syllabus is relevant but some parts are a bit theoretical. Overall, the faculty is supportive and balanced.

Night Life

5

Nightlife at MNIT Jaipur is chill but not too crazy since it’s mostly an academic campus. Hostel gates usually close by 10-11 PM, and most campus facilities like the library and gym shut by 9 or 10 PM. The cafeterias close by 8-9 PM, so late-night food options on campus are limited. After classes, students mostly hang out in common areas or lounges inside hostels or play sports till evening. Outside campus, popular hangouts are food joints and cafes in the nearby Bapu Nagar and Mansarovar areas. These places usually close by 11 PM and are generally safe to roam around in groups but solo roaming late at night is not common. We mostly chill in groups at these spots or watch movies or play games in hostels to relax after study hours. The quiet campus night helps focus on studies but does feel a bit low on nightlife fun compared to city colleges. Overall, it’s peaceful and safe but nightlife is simple here.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.
