A normal autonomous with average quality education

The college has a good infrastructure but the lack of good decision making is affecting the quality of education. Strict discipline is followed with uncompromising attendance system. The recurring free periods and the absence of will power from the faculties in raising the standards are a major problem.

The exams are conducted by the college itself as it is a autonomous college and the college is following the semester system. So we have internal exams and two semester exams in an year. The question paper and valuation will be done by other colleges so that there is no biasing in valuation.

No internships but job recruitment is done by some companies in the college but overall job opportunities are very low. The absence of internship is seriously affecting the financial independence of the students and inturn will force them to spend less in education.

The college is a buzz of events as a college must be. Events include debates , interactive session with prominent personalities, competitions in writing , celebrations like onam , christmas and some specific programs by the respective departments as well.

The fee structure is affordable to the common people as it not a private college and there is only a minimal admission and yearly fees apart from the exam fees. But that too admission fees with uniform is not more than 5000 and the yearly fees will be average like 2500 which is quite affordable.

All the government offered scholarships of the central and the state governments can be applied in the college. Apart from that the college has a scholarship scheme selecting some students on the basis of +2 marks and offering them some financial support for education.

The extracurricular are active college with all the necessary support for the those who pursue sports as their carrier. An indoor stadium , outdoor stadium with sports hostel and gymnasium are present in the college. The college is doing well in the university level arts and sports competitions.

The college has a good alumni with some prominent personalities in that list and they are providing good support for the development of the college. Occasional alumni meetings are done to discuss about the future course of action in the college but comparing other colleges alumni is not that active.

Admission is carried done through the college website. Apply through the website with preferred courses in priority order and then they will publish the rank list for every courses in the same website. If you are in the rank list which also has a waiting list as well then appear in the selection day which they will announce.

There are only some good faculties so that the quality of classes are not that good and the appointing of guest lectures by the management who don't have teaching experience affects the quality of education.
