Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is relevant and well-structured, they have both core and elective subjects, they do cover both theory and practical applications, helps me creating a strong base. Quite relevant and higher studies. Regular labs, projects, case studies, hackathons, ideathons, case studies helps students to get over a strong grip, some part of the syllabus may feel outdated and could include industry oriented technologies lke AI, cloud, and Data Analytics which are quite relevant to my course (AI & DS), teaching parts are little bit theoritical, hands-on sessions could be helpful.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies and organizations like Eduskills, AICTE offer virtual internships, where students can improve their hands-on experience. Other startup companies like TapAcademy, Meetmux offers internships with stipend. I have done a research intern in Symbiosys Technologies, offered by our college, though it was unpaid, it helped me gain confidence and belief, skill-development. I have done projects like Sculpt- AI model, Food Order Tracking system.

Placement Experience

5

The placements of students are managed by VIIT Training and Placement (T & P) cell, guiding the students, being supportive, conducting aptitude and coding sessions time-to-time. Students are eligible to placements from the end of 6th semester. Top recruiters like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Deloitte visit regularly. Packages range from 3.5 - 10 LPA. Highest package was offered by Amazon i.e. 50 LPA, to the CSE graduate. Average package CTC ranges from 4-5 LPA. 85 % of students gets placed. My plans after the degree is not yet decided, I may secure a job or gonna opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admitted in this college in convenor quota through AP-EAPCET 2022, with a rank of 18k. My Fee structure is pretty normal, 52,000 INR per year, and the other fees like library, laboratory, and development is 3000 INR, only the library and lab fees, students must pay i.e. 3000 INR, other than that, my course fee is completely reimbursed by the government. For management quota students, they charge 81,000 INR per semester, and this changes from year to year, and regulations, nobody, right from the first year to the final year, have the same fee structure. And my batchmates have different fees structures, because some of them got admitted through category-b other than management quota. For category-b( JEE Mains criteria, other criteria etc), they won't have any scholarships, and for the students who got admitted through convenor quota have scholarships i.e. JVD, Vasathi Deevana, and seperate scholarships for SC/ST students.

Campus Life

5

VIIT gives a good campus life with its annual and technical fests. Annual Fest i.e. Yuvtarang which is held on the month of January of every year on the occasion of national youth day, and Technical Fest i.e. VISTA on september of every year on the occasion of national engineers day. Many culturals were held during these fests, focusing on social aspects of every student, encouraging competitive culture and enthusiasm among the students. Many inter-college sports were conducted, overall creating a diverse atmosphere in college. Student run groups like "Student Activity Council (SAC)" for students who involve themselves to participate, show casing extra curriculars.

Admission

I got admitted in this college through AP-EAPCET 2022, with a rank of 18k, i got a seat in this college in second round of counselling, in my first counseiling i got a seat in JNTU-Kakinada in Civil engineering, and i'm not much interested to relocate myself to other city and i'm not interested in civil too, so i did'nt choose that college. In my second counseiling, i got a seat in VIIT in AI & DS department, which i felt happy, as it was near and good for my day scholar lifestyle. The admission process is simple, to qualify in the EAMCET exam securing a good rank.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to-student ratio is comfortable, ensuring individual attention. Different styles of teaching methods are used and implemented, like for example, Jigsaw method, blackboards, PPTs, seminars. Encourages problem-solving and practical applications. I don't have specifically any issues with any of the faculty, so as to mention their names and highlighting the likes and dislikes, faculty do move with students in a friendly natureand motivating environment. For every semester, there will be weekly tests, two mid exams for theory subjects, and one internal exam for practicals, and end semester examinations. Hardly 4 - 5 percent of students fail to clear exams, who don't study and irregular to classes. The course curriculum is relevant as per to subject, friendly, and understandable.

Night Life

5

Night life at VIIT, is fascinating with its amazing light theme setting, hostellers do roam at night times and its good and normal during night times, and is safe too. Famous Hangout spots are canteen, outer gym, where people do make good memories and gossip for fun. Library, Gym closes after 7pm, and hostel timings are 9am-6pm, which should be followed strictly.

Other Applied Colleges

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University - [JNTUK] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Civil Engineering)

Far from my hometown, not willing to relocate, and not much interested in civil engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
