- JLU has the best facilities for conducting moots and law events.
- Our law school building has its own auditorium and moot court hall.
- We have our departmental fest Riwaaz as well.
Dislikes
- Footage and placements of law department aren't that great as Media or Engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
Again it is impossible to replicate what legal studies brings to the table. Along with studies it gives various other opportunities like besides being an employee, we can go for own practice. We also have the option of doing Judiciary and become a Judge. So, because law offers such great opportunities I have opted for this course.
Internships Opportunities
Stipend for law students is nil as apart from daily expenses which is 100-150 we aren't paid anything. I got the opportunity to work with a high court lawyer in Bhopal and that opportunity was provided to me through college.
Placement Experience
Campus placements at JLU begins early as law is a 5 year course but from fourth year final semester, we are allowed to find placements in our own. Or there are some corporate houses which comes to our campus to recruit and we can apply there as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
Jagran Lakecity University which is a premier private university of Bhopal or rather MP offers law program at a price of NLU. Our fees too is around 2 lakhs a year and it's same for all general category students.
Campus Life
Our campus is a novelty because not just affluent buildings and lawns but the entire campus is a city like built. Academics buildings, hostel buildings, sports facilities at one end and Library at the other. Three cafeterias at some distance from each other and all serve different kind of food. Our law department fest Riwaaz 3.0 was a huge success and this year it will be Riwaaz 4.0 which will be even bigger.
Admission
I applied or rather tried my best to crack a seat at top NLU but sadly I couldn't. So in private options available i thought JLU Bhopal is one of the best. 12th marks were enough as one can come and register and admission will be given as college has infrastructure and resources to accomodate as many as they want.
Faculty
Faculties of JLU, Bhopal are somebody who have not just took their law lessons from NLUs or the Symbiosis but have also taught at those places. Hence, it's easy to question their traits but impossible to replicate and therefore I am quite happy with their style of teachings.
Night Life
Badi Lake, Karva Dam, DB Mall and some restaurant are among the places where we hangout often. Also, there are many hangout spots at campus itself and evenings i spend mostly at campus library or badminton courts.
