Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is overall good and covers the basics well. That's one of the reason I enrolled in IT department as it gives proper foundation of my tech field. It Helps in studies and also for higher education it can be helpful. If you plan to give GATE, the things which you'll study here can be your well-learned basics for the exam prep but if you want a real job and industry skills we still have to learn more as tech field get updated in every 6 months or 1 year. Exam happens two times as internals and endsem exams, difficulty is not too high it's just average if will prepare well, most of the students passes the exam. The only Improvement I'll say is that course should have the deep teaching of the programing language like something that a student doesn't need to study more on that language otherwise as in academics the curriculum is great.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees of my college is 1 lakh thirty thousand, but it usually varies by around 5k rupees up or down depending on the year. Also I didn't got any scholarship. The fees mostly stay in the range of 5.20 lakhs for the whole course of Btech, there is also a summer training fees which they ask for in the start of the third year that is 5500 rupees.

Campus Life

3

Campus life in my college is overall decent but not too much of extraordinary. The crowd is good and social life is fine you can easily make friends here and enjoy your time,There are few clubs and society where you can get the like minded people around you. annual and tech fest happens in march and in winters respectively. The library has enough books for the syllabus and the journals. Classrooms are okayish but nothing too modern as in summers, we have to manage with 4 or 5 fans. infra is average nothing too extraordinary. For sports and extra-curriculars the college has facilities of cricket football and other indoor games also with the cultural societies which take care of the dance and music.

Admission

I honestly didn't want to go to a private college , that was never my first choice even my last choice also but with my jee mains rank that was around one lakh ninety thousand I couldn't get any of the nits or some government college. The reason I chose this college because this college is affiliated to GGSIPU (guru gobind singh indraprastha university), so the degree is a government recognized one which can be valuable in the future. This was one of the main factor for me in the finalizing this college. The admission process was simple here, they accept the jee main score as eligibilty and the candidate need to go through the IPU counselling.I picked this college as it gave me the assurance of govt. university degree without a burden of extreme fee burden and also it is a god college to continue my studies.

Faculty

4

The faculty here are mostly M.tec holders , while the Hods are PhDs.They are well qualified as teaching is also practical and theory based. The faculty-student ratio is also good and you can reach out to them if you need any kind of help in academics.Teachers are really approachable and supprtive outside the class. Some teachers explains topic nicely some explains just with the theory as we say everyone has different way of teaching. The course structure is good and of industry oriented but students need to put some effort to get some new skills if they want to learn the updated niche. The exam system includes internals and semester exams. for semester exams you get the different center in the IPU colleges.Exams are generally not too tough if you study good you can score, and if you fail in end sem exams you have to pay 1200 rupees and you can give that exam after one year respective of even or odd sem.

Night Life

1

There is no nightlife in the college in or around the campus. all classes usually ends at 5:30 in the evening after that the college is shut. There is no hostel facility inside the college campus so mostly students travel back home or stay in Pgs outside of the campus, some with walking distance others with the distance of one or two metro stations. The library is also closed along with the regular class timings also there is a cafetaria and a canteen that also goes shut after the class timings so there is no such nightlife. If you want to hangout near the college in the evening you better go to the Connaught Place as it is just 4 stations far than the college.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
