Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is quite dynamic and helps us develop overall relation with the subjects. The curent AI boom also helped me determine about this field of study. The curriculum is very helpful in solving real life problem and also prepares us for any further study exams if we want to pursure higher studies. The classroom can be made of a better design by making lecture halls instead of classes. Teachers can icnculcate real life examples to illustrwte different topics in the subject. Exams are conducted nearly every 1.5 months. The difficulty is moderate. You are allowed to take preparatory leaves for the exams.

Placement Experience

3

Placements begin from 3rd year end and go on for the complete 4th year. Companies like ZS associates, google, amazon, juspay etc have visited the campus in the past. Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees to be paid is to be given completely during the time of admission 50% during seat allotment and rest 50% at the time of reporting and document verification at the campus. There is no such provision of scholarship as such in my knowledge. There is a provision of management quota wherein fees is a little extra. Admission is done on the basis of marks scored by the student in board exams there. Total fees to be paid for a year is 2lac which includes all the charges. Socieities inside the colege are not included in this. Some societies are paid and have to be joined on our own.

Campus Life

4

There are fests like anugoonj that are organised every year. Technical socities conduct orientation events like zypher that help us connect with people. Most orientation take place during August and September. Etnic days are somtimes celebrated near diwali. Curriculum related books are accessible throughout the day at the library. All classrooms are fitted with ac but no cctvs are present inside classrooms. Labs have best in class technology with comfortable seating. Sports abd extra curriculur activities are encouraged in college and can be joined via socities and trials. Facilities for different sports like badminton, volleyball, football, basketball are present at the campus with decent infrastructure. There are many student run groups some of them are iosd csi etc that are socieites that help freshers form teams and learn to grow with everyone. There are also portals like campus connect and campusmart that help freshers and juniors to buy second hand stuff from seniors that heps them save money and also helps the seniors financially. There are groups like NSS too that help improve the environmental conditions around the campus and plants trees. Interested and curious students are always welcome in societies to join and help each other grow.

Admission

I applied to other colleges like USAR MSIT etc. This college was better in terms of placement data. Attendance criteria and faculty interaction. I got rejected from usict due to lower rank in my preferred branches. The college is also very far from my home so it makes connectivity difficult. Admissions are done by ggsipu counselling and management quota process. Every branch has different criteria first being 75% in boards and jee mains rank which varies with different branches. You can get an IT or cse related branch till 155k rank.mechanical is available till 250-300k rank. Most students prefer the counselling system instead of management quota as it is cheaper and considers your merit.

Faculty

5

The faculties are really helpful and supportive. They understand that students can not only focus on studies all the time and attend classes regularly. They are friendly and understanding in nature. The faculty to student ratio is somewhere near. 1:40 The best faculties in the campus are anil kumar, harsh joshi, ms monika, ms namita I dont dislike any of the faculties as of now they all are good enough and qualified There are 2 internal mid sem exams and 1 end sem exam practicals are rated on 10 marks. Marks are divided on basis of 40:60 wherin 40% marks are internals and 60% are external end sem exams.

Night Life

3

There is a gym in the college that is open for 1-2 hours before and after working hours. Library is operational between 9-6 during the day. Hostel has decent facilities for everyone according to their budget. There are 4 cafeterias inside the college that can be accessed at all times. Hostels are closed nearly at midnight for entry and exit. Surrounding area is decent but the area is prone to traffic jams. There are many hangout places nearby like wave mall, baaz mall, parks and grounds.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
