Course Curriculum Overview

3

The academics are highly outdated however there's a new scheme being introduced this year, I hope it's a lil better. Teaching methods are very conventional. You might need to make proper lab files, as you did in school.

Internships Opportunities

4

College does have a TNP Cell, but you must not expect something out of the box in terms of internships atleast. You must grind and get yourself and internship all by yourself in the worst scenario. Although, every other dedicated senior in my contact is doing some sort of internship and I believe anyone with good skills can get it.

Placement Experience

3

My seniors got placed in the 7th semester and a few in the 6th as well. As per them, the placements are the best compared to all other IPU Colleges. Offers from abroad are too given here. For Computer Related Branch, placements are to 90%. Highest Package has surpassed 1 Cr, and Avg. package is about 8 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 96,000 in advance before reporting through IPU Councelling and then paid remaining 1,04,000 at the college which included everything, from tution fees, all sorts of membership. There are several scholarships available, just need to dig in a little. I don't think there's any concession over on the basis of your category.

Campus Life

3

You'll find a society for every interest of yours, the crowd is polished and good. There is daily some or the other happening at the college whether it be seminars, events, fests etc. There is also a large ground to play your favourite sports. Serveral Societies here have good alumni networks and can be of support during your placement preparations.

Admission

I appeared only for JEE Mains after I passed out of my 12th. I kept college over course so ended up here. One must appear for JEE Mains, to get into MAIT. With a very low rank, I had zero to nothing options, and thankfully my Delhi HS Quota helped me in getting this seat.

Faculty

4

The faculty ratio is decent in my opinion, each subject has various professors and assistant professors. Exam structure is a bit strict, you appear for your first Mid Sems in around September End, and Mid Term 2 in Mid November. There's a liniency towards Mid Sems, but you must overshadow your Mid Sem performance in End Sem and internals.

Night Life

2

There are only 5 Small Canteens inside the campus and isn't much to do on the campus at night. There isn't much outside the campus too. Campus is in a very isolated area and the students living in PG tend not to step outside quite frequently.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
