LIfe and Learning at PDEU

The curriculum attracted me because it balances the ICT course with the industry level knowledge like AI, IoT, Embedded Systems and many more. It builds strong fundamental and exposure for both higher studies and placements. Areas for improvements are more industry project should be given to student so that it can helps them by connecting the knowledge and level of industry. Exams are held regularly as mid and end semester which are of medium difficulty level.

PDEU offers diverse internship offers in engineering and also in other branches. Many companies visit PDEU for internship selection process. Large number of students gets selected and also get converted to full time job employeer in the company after the internship completion. Companies like IBM, Infosys, ONGC, Relaince and many big names companies visit for the internship. Some companies provide stipend in range of 5000-20000 INR depending on the role and the performance of the candidate, whereas few companies just focusing on teaching the real-world industry knowledge. Companies offers roles like software development, Q&A, UI/UX designing, reserarch assistant, data analyst, project manager and many more.

At PDEU, students become eligible after the 7th semester for the campus placements . Many top companies like IBM, Cognizant, JP Morgan Chase &Co. , TCS and many more. the highest package that went in my batch was 13-20 LPA whereas the average package is 7-8 LPA as per the company and profiles. Mostly 80-85%of the students got placed every year. Some students also goes for the higher studies or for their family bussiness.My plan after getting the degree is to join a AI/IoT company at better package.

At PDEU, the yearly fee for B.Tech is around 2,40,000-3,00,000 INR. In the first year the fee is slightly high due to the charges of admission form,security and libarary deposition, ID Card and etc. For almost 4 years of college the total costs of around 8 - 8.25 lakh INR. There are many scholarship provided by the Governmnet of Gujarat such as MYSY scholarship, Digital India Scholarship. In this scholarship the govt. provides around 62,000- 68,000 INR per year to the students whose family income is less than 3 lakh per year. The college also provides the scholarship to the students who has good CGPA/Percentage and matches the criteria of the college. Students in B.Tech has same fees of the same year. PDEU increases its fee 3000 INR every year.

My overall campus life at the PDEU was very exicting and lovely and between the academics and extracurriculum. The college also hosts the technical and annual festivals like holi,Uttrayan and Navratria along with the months. There is a vast collection of books in Library.The facilities and technological provisions within the classrooms with the modern technology like projectors and smart boards. PDEU also has sports club in the college and also with other facilities like football, cricket , colleyball and many more. Many Clubs and festivals in the campus make the campus very exiciting and vibrant.

I was from a normal background and wanted to build my carrer in a high-fly way which can help me to explore and learn more new things and can relate to the ongoing industry leve so i chose PDEU because it offers a large campus, good placements and modern labs and faculty in learning. i faced many rejection from different colleges may be by some ranking issues or some percentage or JEE exam score. It was just competition and limited seats. Eligiblity at PDEU requires 10+2 PCM subjects and admission are based on JEE score, Gujcet score or may be on the cuttoffs that rarely vary. Admission process at our college is very simple just byb filling the form at the website/portal and pay the fee and then the process helds offline and provide you the offer letter.

At PDEU, the ratio of faculty-to-student is 1:20. The relationship between the student and faculty is very positive and of helping nature. Many faculties are from big institues like IITs, NITs, IISC and many has also completed their PhD and some also have industry level knowledge. The course structure is semester based withg mixture of subjects like in ICT(digital electronics, C/Java/Python programming). It also helps students in balancing the lab and theory so they can understood in better way. There are mainly 2 exams: Mid Semester(25 marks) and End Semester(100 marks). Facluties also conduct some internal tests and assignments before the exam so that student can knows his capability in the subject.The levekl of examination is medium. Students passes the exams, maybe little number of students can fail. Course curriculum is very similar and relevant to the industry level knowledge only which helps students to connect their knowledge with the industry level.

Yes there was entrance test that was based on general knowledge , Mathematics, Science and related field. The process of admission is very simple. You need to just apply on the PDEU portal and then you need to wait for the results. The admission are taken on the basis of 12th Score, JEE score and Gujcet score.I just learned the concepts of 12th and prepared the general knowledge questions.

The campus has several amaenities,including gym, spacoius cafeteria, and library with thousands of books. The cafeterias are open well in the evenings and providing freshment and well suited environemen. Libarary remains open till 8pm in the night. PDEU hostel has strict timing for the hostelites as they are not allowed after 10pm at night unless and until there is some emergency. Nearby PDEU, Gift city is the best place to visit and explore the knowledge and also some delightful restaurants to enjoy. Gandhinagar is considered as safe for 24/7 for students at night.
