A look into Nirma University

Overall, i had a great time doing my engineering in nirma university. It has been a great experience for me. I would definitely recommend others to pursue their education here. It will always have a special place in my heart.

Course is evenly distributed among 4 years. First year is common for all fields of engineering. Our college follows continuous evaluation policy. We have class test of 30 marks, mid semester exams of 40 marks and end semester exam of 100 marks. Final result is calculated by counting these exams marks and the assignments and projects of that particular subject.

Yes, there is lot of scope for campus placements and jobs. All the students appearing for placement are getting placed at the end of the year. But the negative point is, our college doesn't provide internship. We need to find it on our own. Though the faculties help us in finding internship, but there is no help from the institute.

Every festival is celebrated in our campus. Every national festival is organized by the University. But apart from this we have different fests organized by different clubs. It includes technical fests and cultural fests. RCNI - One of the club of nirma, organizes one of the biggest cultural fest of Gujarat. It is followed by a musical Bollywood concert of any leading singers.

Yes the fees are feasible if you are admitted through normal quota. As in NRI quota the fees are exactly doubled the fees of any other student. It comes around 1.75lakhs per year for general student and 3.6 lakhs for a NRI student.

Yes, there are different scholarships available based on your JEE marks, 12th marks, graduation marks in every semester or through any government schemes. We have a book bank facility available for getting books from library at a nominal price for a year.

Yes there are extra curricular activities going on around the campus throughout the year. There are different cultural activities, sports activities taking place. Wr have different labs for different fields of engineering. We get maximum exposure to practical knowledge in this labs.

Yes, this college follows the anti ragging policy strictly. Anyone found ragging someone, faces severe charges. The seniors are very helpful in evey manner. From understanding the campus life to helping in studies, they are always there to help.

We need to apply online on the college's website. A merit list is created on the basis of 12th marks and JEE marks. Another way is to get admission through ACPC. And third way is NRI / NRI Sponsored quota. According to your merit number they call you for counseling for taking the available course / field.

Most of the faculties are very experienced. They are very helpful in suggesting us the best way to get it right. They are supportive in our new innovative ideas. They try to give us as many practical experiences as possible.
