- to say the infrastructure if CUO is very good. the campus size is massive and the construction is going on and after completion that would be the best campus ever.
Dislikes
- i think they don't have enough faculties amd some of the faculties are even in contractual basis.
- the food quality is average as that could be made better and the canteen also dont have that good food.
Course Curriculum Overview
those course curricullams at central university of odisha is thought fully designed ,offering a balanced blend of theoretical depth and practical relevance. on eof the key reason why students opt for such courses like int mathmatiss is the seamless academic progression and strong foundation it provides for research and comprdative exams. that curricullum could be more better as it can be more practical. what we are studing is like 80% theory and just 20% practical. so i do think that could be more better. the quality needs to be improved.
Fees and Financial Aid
at CUO the fee structure varies for different programs. the bsc msc int. mathmatics the program at CUO is a 5 years fulltime course with a total tution fee of aproximatly 41770, plus a onetome admisssion related fee 3520 and the optional hostle charge of 30000, bringing the overal cost of around 75290. The fee structure has increased over the years from 27000to 40150 in 2025. yearwise the first year fees is about 18550 followed by 14400 in second year ond 7200 anullay for remaining 3 years. this include tution, library, lab,registration fee ,sports, medical and others.
Campus Life
campus life at CUO is vivrant, with festivals like ganesh chaturthi and saraswati puja held annually. the liobrary offers 38000+ books ande resourses,smart class rooms, annual sports, events like cricket and vollyball. there the social culture is very good and you will not feel disconnected there. they will make you feel so like them and you will love to be there
Hostel Facilities
CUO's hostels are very good ans spacious. Offers bed, table , chair, fans, and 24/7 electrycity nad water facility. meals include veg and nonveg options are available which serve thrice daily, though riviews cite average quality. there everything is good but the food quality is average. and the problem is that that they don't provide mattress just a bed. i think thatcould be made better with better facilities.
Admission
i choose CUO over other options like revenshaw university and ramadevi university due to its integrated bsc msc integrated program, such better facility student ratio, and serene campus environmental ideal for focused. tthough i received admission from ramadevi university and udaynath university but i chose CUO over them so i prefer to stay here
Faculty
in bsc msc int mathmatics at central university of odisha is supported by a dedicated faculty team with a student teacher ratio of 59:6, ensuring personlised attention and mentorship. faculty members like Dr. sarbeswer barikand Dr pradosh kumar rath are highly appreciated for their clarity in teaching, supportive nature, and approachability, often guiding students beyond academics.
Night Life
CUO's nightlife is quite but cozy. hostles close from 7.30 pm to 6am , na dthe library gym and cafatarea shut by evening . students unwind at the campus garden and koraput market 2-3 km away . though nightlife is limited, locality is generally safe. generally the staff there are so nice that they will help you wiyh evverything that you don't have to worry about anything. that is such apeaceful environment that you can focus in your studies 100%.
